Indoor Pharmacy's Home

I was surprised to find that my commercial buddy know very little about growing. He said that there is a guy who tells him what to do and he does it. When I try to talk to him about specifics, it is like I am speaking another language. Doesn't even have the faintest idea of what NPK values are. When I asked about the yield on the Fire OG, he simply said "great", so I inquired again and he said "bro, it was great all around, my favorite so far", no measurements or anything. I always thought that commercial growers were more meticulous than us hobby growers and that they had to be experts on the subject. I'm finding the reverse to be true. Like most hobby growers know not to directly mix nutes because of potential chemical reaction, like calcium and phosphorus bonding, the commercial guys i know only seem to know that 'A' and 'B' go in one at a time because that's what it says on the bottle.

I think the issue with much of commercial MJ growing is the amount of money to be made. There is not a need to optimize for maximum quality or yield; it is about turning the crop as quickly as possible at the lowest cost possible. Hobby growing is normally about quality without much regard for cost because grower pride is a big part and in the case of cannabis the finished product will still cost less then purchasing.

high!

I see it more like "Super Market" and your local week "Fresh Market" day with all the small producers around .....
Day and night at all level, bro :smokebuds:

Peace!

Hey, guys, updates coming later on today. I have been running on about 2-3 hours of sleep the last couple of days. I just submitted my essay at like 3:30AM and drank so much coffee that I can't sleep. Caffeine and insomnia don't mix well. Anywho, just realized I forgot to post my promised update. I assure you I will have um' up by the end of the day :)

Like everthing else, there are people who just know it all... I've been a jack of all trades, and one of them, many many years ago was as a welder. I went to a trade school to learn to do it right. The very first words from the instructor's mouth were " Every farmer that ever burnt a rod is a welder..... ") Sooner or later, his lack of knowledge and indifference will bite him on the a**

Little sneak peak

Okay, I am just totally burnt. Managed to get almost 2 hours of sleep, but it only seems to have made me even more sleepy!

Anyways, wanted to give you guys a sneak peak, so I stuck my iPhone in my tent with the flash on and took a very very shitty shot. It will have to do until later on today when I have some time.

I have bitten off more than i can chew with 2 jobs and a full-load semester, it is hard to find time for my passion of growing. I know I must sound like a pussy, because I know there are those of you that truly bust your asses off.

One of my professor told me a quote the other day "A diamond is just a lump of carbon, put under extreme pressure for an extended period of time." At the time it was encouraging and inspiring, but right now, it is just words and doesn't mean shit to me, lol! I need sleep!!! I can't even balance properly!

Any tips or advice for my SAD in coco? She has gone yellow and become stunted. I suspect cal/mag deficiency and lack of oxygen to the root zone from over-watering. If anyone could give some advice or wants to take a guess at what is wrong with her, please feel free.

Her newest and youngest leaves are fine, the large fan/water leaves and the old leaves are the ones that are yellowing, I know they are suppose to yellow in bloom, but this is quite pronounced and the buds are still in the pre-floral stage.

Off to class!

Thanks for all the input, feedback and general activity, guys! You guys rock!

shoot PHARM, id have to say cal/mag deficiency or ph lock out in my best uneducated guess...i know that with coco cal/mag is always the issue annnd not to mention ive heard that LEDs can cause the same type of symptoms in our plants with coco as well. again all just guesses, if any of the big hitters around here could interject and chime in as well that would be cool... but always a great idea to bring this discussion to the infirmary so it can get the needed viewing!!! just my 2Cents as always take it with a grain of salt for rim not expert just wish i was!!!!!!! :smokebuds::grin:
