Okay, say I want to use a drip system. Do I have to buy a special slow drip water pump or something?

I remember Stitch telling me that he only uses coco and that it was the best medium, too. I keep hearing good things about it. I won't lie, I am after some increased yields this time around, lol.

you just need a pump that is big enough to get water from the rez down a water line to all the plants via drip emitters(for a 4x4 table with 4 plants in 5 gal smarties i used a 250GPH pump). so from the pump run either 1/2" or 3/4" tubing either down the middle of the plants or outside depending on setup. then stab in 1/4" straight barbed connectors into the larger tubing and run 1/4" hose from the connector to a drip stake or emitter that is stuck in the medium around the plant base. then obviously a timer set to run that pump for X amount of time needed to moisten the medium X amount of times in the day. the drip emitters are used to control the water flow as well as the time you run the pump. this is obviously not the only way and may not even be the right way but it is the way i have done it and taught quite a few others to do it too all with fair success. If you are comparing coco to soil i believe that for sure with the right skill set you can def have higher yields but you def wont achieve in terms of yield what you can with DWC.

Truly awesome grow with his DP ABB! I didn't know that they could yield that well. He has inspired me to really give coco a shot.

Btw, I found out that what I thought was thrip damage is actually leaf burn from that 'rescue mist' stuff in the silver bottle. I think the solution is too strong or something.

I'm sure I had some thrips, but most of the damage seems to be from the rescue mist. I am so dumb, sometimes, lol. I was thinking 'maybe the thrips really like the humic/fulvic acid? They seem to be very active after ever spray.' Geez, seriously, pharm?

Also, I found out that 'Fulvic acid applications are also known to slow down the vertical growth of plants; concentrating the available plant energy into more Bloom sites with larger fruits / flowers.' Which I am totally seeing in my TD. I wanted her to grow taller and get a good structure going, but it looks like she is done with vertical growth and wants to flower, now.

I know that my documentation has been rather disorganized and unbecoming of a chemistry major, but I plan on rigidly adhering to the proper format of scientific documentation.... At least I will try my best, lol!

At the very least I will update more often, more notes and more pics!
