New Grower Pineapple Express auto

Recently germinated 2 PE seeds which have sprouted and been moved to there final home to grow.. Using full biobizz range inc biobizz all mix.
A thought on lighting if anyone can help, I'm currently running CFL's 2x65 red 1x85 red and one 65w blue.. I also have a 125w blue which will go in at a later date. Now im having trouble with heat does anyone know if a blackstar 240w led will give off less heat then my other bulbs when running?? Someone please jump in if you have experience My NL2 is flowering alongside the PE. NL1 has been Harvested and is drying pics will be up in a few days.

Pineapple express is one of those i've been curious about since watching the movie, should be fun to watch! :High 5:
To be honest, for now, if you've got heat issues with 270w of mixed cfl bulbs, I'd just swap them for that 1 125w blue bulb, especially as they're seedlings = 125w blue will be fine (from experience)

The heat issue should probably be looked at though as you will want as much Ooomph (wattage) as your cab can handle (heat wise) when in flower.
What are you cab dimensions and what kind of exhaust fan are you rocking?
Are you in a hot country?

I don't know about LED heat in comparison with CFL

Hey man, I use GN LEDS so not 100% sure on blackstar models but I would assume there will definitely be less heat compared to cfl bulbs. If you haven't already check out the LED options, the pro's vastly outweigh the cons (and LED has a targeted spectrum which helps)

The blue 125w will be fine for at least 2-3 weeks. From what I have heard LED's definitely throw out less heat per watt than CFL's and if you can afford them it is the way to go.

Hope you get some nice bud of them PE's - I just finished drying a PE and after a week of curing it has got to be one of the smelliest buds I have ever grown, I open the jar and it sinks the room for a good hour.

Thanks for the response so its 2ftx2ftx5ishft it's effectively under the stairs.. I think i will cut holes in the top and bottom of the door to get computer fans pulling in and pushing air out.... I'm actually not running a fan atm but will get one on order.. Can you recommend any cheapish systems pref under £100??This whole grow started as a budget grow with 1 seed then i just kept spending i have a dwc system that il get one bucket on the go tomorrow with the cheese seed i have. Problem is that I cant just use the 125w as the northern lights is starting to flower so if anything i need to get that on as well!! not a particularly hot country no blue fairly miserable and wet most of the time although we did have a nice summer this year!! Next year my balcony is gonna be put to good use... If you know what I mean fellow AFN members lol:stylez rasta smoke:

I've been rocking a very similar combo for years (it could do with upgrading if i'm honest - but the next lot of kit i want is quite expensive (rhino))

A passive intake (just a hole in the bottom of the door) will be fine, but i'd say you'd really want to get that heat out of the grow area. The way i do that in my cupboard is there's a hole in the top, i put my fan on the outside sucking air out of the cab, and attach my ducting to the top, and plug that into my carbon filter. So the hot air is "blowing through" the filter ... it's a reversed setup and apparently not as effective as the normal way, but space dictates this for me, and it has always worked fine.

I can't picture how you could exhaust from under the stains though, if you exhaust through the top of the door - i imagine you will get a hot blast of air in the face as you walk past - not ideal if you have visitors lol

Quick update

Quick update Pineapple Express is looking well both are growing nicely not much to update but here is a couple pictures. Since speaking various people (you know who you are) i have now purchased an intake fan and a fan kit with carbon filter to get that temp down i have also purchased a Vipar v240 led light which has mixed reviews but comes with a 30 day money back guarentee so i guess if it doesn't do the business then il get them to upgrade me to a 300w.:stylez rasta smoke:

Upgraded grow

So all the new fans/extractors carbon filter went together well temp seems a steady and its a hot day so i guess that works nicely.
Loving my new light vipar v240 hope it turns out well i was told the led's are from the same place blackstars come from if this is true i shouldn't be disappointed! Would it be a good idea to add another one I'm asking myself??? Hmmmm...
Decided to keep all updates in this thread now as NL2 could take forever but il stick with her for the experience if anyone has any suggestions here is a picture.
The Pineapple Express sisters are coming along nicely....
The cheese (my first dwc) I'm hoping will sprout in the next few days.
I am germinating a 60 day wonder at the moment which will go into dwc too.. :stylez rasta smoke:
