If I were you I would just spend the extra on a HS1 as that is a light that has been proved reliable by many people on this site

I just got one myself man, I looked at all of them and figured the P300 was just fine for what i needed...
And ill be totally honest, so far it hasnt disappointed me at all.....It has created huge growth in short amounts of time and the plants respont VERY well to it.....i have one SODK from Mephisto Genetics.....and also a berry bomb from bomb seeds and just germed a la frutta de venus or sumthn i believe.......but only the SODK is under the P300 at the moment....
I also have a Mars Hydro Reflector i bought as a first light and i used it alone to veg the SODK...but trust me adding the P300 made a huge difference.....I have these lights in a 36 x 36 x 63 tent......about to have to invest in an inline fan and filter bc its starting to develop buds and emitting a very strong smell "early in the morning" so to speak.......but depending on the amount of plants and area ur using to grow them in largely determines a minimum sized panel for an indoor grow.....As far as quality I personally couldnt be more pleased and by the time I flower the two young seedlings in my nanodome i plan to have atleast another p150 or another p300 just simply bc i think it would do amazing things for 3 or 4 plants at a time as this is all ill need for 6 months at a time im hoping.....but dont worry ab thinking youll get screwed...the warranty alone should ease ur mind plenty and the 90 day return policy is awesome as welll......give it a shot you wont be disappointed i promise......

I use two of their P150's in my little closet and have really liked them. New grower, though, so can't really offer any comparison on how they work compared to other types/brands of lights. Good amount of light to my untrained eye with not too much heat.

looks just the same as the Eshine 3G series,,,so perhaps another u.s. company buying from china and naming this led as there own design?. <cough> BlackDog LED vs MARS II to name another <cough>
It is good to see mars hydro on here at last by the way..... i remember years back when even if ya mentioned another LED brand on here you would get ya arse booted. GN all the way eh Tang? lol. well its all hypocritical & absolute Tosh, but at least it means more freedom of speech now.
Back to the Generic Panel LED with secondary lenses on it, yeah they're ok, better than some out there.

ledlightschina a ebay store great 300 Watt lights actual draw 165 for around 75.00 US I have one It works and lasts and uv too. There COB lights work great too.

Check out Mars hydro LEDs they do a pretty good job picked up four of them for about 547 there 600w

I like the mars lights
I have one and have no complaints except i used it for like a week and a half and all my veg lights went dim....to almost barely on.......i contacted them and in all honesty they have done EVERYTHING they can for me........they have sent me prepaid postage to ship it to have it fixed and they have replied to my emails very quickly and even calld a few times to be sure that i was sayisfied w things........shit happens i understand that and it could be sumthn as simple as a faulty power supply but the veg switch also runs the fans and those still work fine
So as soon as i send it off to be fixed and get it back ill have no problems at all w mars.....theyre customer service has been impeccable for me personally anyhow..........
So even tho i had an issue i still reccomend mars bc of bang for ur buck and cust service........the light was doin well and made explosive growth....just that one issue

yeah man, im not saying the MARS range aint got there problems either, like, too heavy, noisy fans, thick glass panel that just reflects heat back in, average heat thermal transfer paste, average fans....and worst of all, if a zener diode pops, (they are the little tiny chips next to the led itself on the board, main job of these critters is to keep the led circuit complete if a led blows) well, if one of them blows aswell, like what happened to my mates one, cos he sulphur bombed his tent and left the led in there like a true donut.. you will loose a whole section of leds on the board. blew the led and the zener you see? broke the circuit.
was a easy fix tho, replace led and put a wire of solder in the space where the zener went. not pretty but closes the circuit again and hey presto, you got your whole section back,. I repaired that one over 6 months ago and its still running strong.
Now the Chinese supplier knew this fix, now here is my main point....
what they find so hard is communicating it across to us lot.
Many have said to me and friends that this is the main problem, language problems.
and whats even sadder is that other overseas suppliers take full advantage of this 'language difference' which pisses me off
well, that's where I come in.
Call me a universal LED translator. lol. I cant speak Chinese but I get by and can get my point across just fine to get the problem sorted.
So, wot led aint got its ups and downs?
Take the 3g or platinum leds for example,. all those little lenses behind the glass are not fixed down. they are pressed into place by the face glass panel, but when that gets loose or you drop it,. etc.. watch all those lenses fall off. lol.
same with the Apollo's and their copies, something that GN would also know about all so well. loose lenses = complete pain in the arse to refit. get the angle wrong, puts too much pressure on the led diode underneath, doesn't give good contact onto the heatsink bar behind resulting in a popped led. and those models havnt even got a zener diode next to the leds, if they blow the whole module blows.,,,but hey. they are my favourite for changing spectrums on, so easy to solder the leds in and out.
and the power drivers they use are still better than those stupid little black box ones you get nowadays inside most leds, ie the mars, 3g, vipar panels. etc.. etc..
So, as you can see, yeah, all leds have their faults but also have their own special unique good sides too.
Hit or miss bro. lol.

ill just add its all about feedback from growers now, their true feedback, not 'bribed to give a good review with a free led' types lol,,,now I aint pointing any fingers, just telling it how it is or was.
and good people like marshydro, GN, etc.. all work with feedback nowadays, sure they can give out freebies or discounted ones for this work, that is cool, what not is cool is if that 'LED' is shite, the grower gets banned for saying the truth.
like I said before, its good now that all that 'sewage' is all now under the bridge and suppliers now actually listen to the opinions of members/growers rather than just think they are getting put down by another competitive company hiding under the 'guise' of being a normal forum member.
