New Grower PPM EC...... where the hell should my levels be?

So im close to 40 days in with 2 think differents in 5 gal DWC, 400W MH using Advanced nutrients 2 part jungle juice as my base with rhizotonic and silica added.

I have my dwc bucket running my ppm around 700 (my tap waters initial ppm is 30, YES 30ppm) and the plants are happy, I had a freind tell me that he runs his bubbler at 1300 ppm with the same nutes after the third node (so like 2 weeks in) and that I should do the same........... thoughts?

Im using a nutridip tri meter that converts to 500:1 ppm:ec ( 1 ec = 500ppm)

I have, but he was using canna, im using advanced nutrients, just wondering if anyone could shed some light on that aspect of my grow.
