My last 3 auto plants hermied. My brother said because the plant was confused. I keep it on 24 light. He said an auto needs to sleep. No nutrients just kind soil, roots organic and distilled water. He says since hps is growing with the hps and his germination process was slower his outcome will be better. Not sure if this is true

Your brother is a naughty boy. Auto's are crossed with Ruderalis and have no light restrictions. I have been growing with led light around the clock for a good number of years. There are "a lot of people" who do not understand auto's and dispense bad information. I don't think you should buy your brother a Christmas gift. Or if you do, send it to me instead. Do you ph your water/feed?

If you get balls at the nodes then you definitely have some unstable genetics. If you're getting a small banana popping out of your buds at the end of flower you might just be going a little bit too long before Harvest. I'm one of those guys that runs my lights 24/7 because it makes my environment more stable which is actually better for your plants, stability that is.

Who's the breeder is the question I wanna know an as for hermi plants I run my autos an photos on 24 an have been doing so for years not hardly any double sex plants in at least a hundred plants I just move my photos to a closet for the 12\12.
