If your wanting finer screens look into paint strainers for auto-body,They come in all different microns and are usually fairly cheap

i have my own way of doin things,id consider it a qwick wash of sorts.
findings
iso takes an age to evaporate naturally(experiment)
filter the iso down to 50 microns before going to coffee filters.the 250/150microns + tea strainer i used dont cut it.otherwise you end up with a shit ton of moondust on the coffee filters.
im assuming that 95% of the moondust i have is plant matter,looks pretty uninteresting under a scope.
a few things sent for from ebay,and i found bits of an old chemistry set that could come in handy.but thats for another day probably in about a month or so.
seen a smart still but it was £200,thats out the window for me but if you was a big user it be worth considering to get back some iso.
also seen if you add water,salt to 70% iso it seperates so you end up with 99% iso and some salty water.but thats out the window cause i can get 99.9% but
more theory less practicals,and i have shit to read
remember iso vapor and butane vapor are just as flamable as each other,its just that one makes a bigger bang !

Hey @archie gemmill here's just a thought,the bubble bags come in different microns and the 5 gallon size have a pretty good sized screen area to filter thru.my 5 bag set goes down to 25 micron,I've never used em for this purpose but they are reasonably priced...btw does anybody have an idea what the micron of a coffee filter is??( I'd just like to know for gp)..:good call on the water /salt to get the 99% never thought of that

goggle says coffee filters are 15-35 microns.but they dont really have holes in them when held upto the light so that cant be correct it must be an equivelent to kinda measurement.it cant be thickness as coffee filter is at least 70 microns.
ive sent off for some 25 micron screens anyhow,and have a few more toys to play with next run.

i had a go with some iso,not quite qwiso the material i used ranged from sugar to shite 37g.i went for the quick,easy,lazy method.not a dirty run but not the cleanest either.
everything in the freezer
shook the bejesus outa it,whanged the screen on it and turned it upside down on a pint glass.
vacated the area for a
shook the bejesus outa it again
and then went for another
i thought i saw a lil sediment,so got the turkey baster out.this was whats left
let it evap naturally,then scraped it up with a modeling knife
as this made it through the 75 micron screen couldnt see obvious particals floating around,but after a few hours sat something settled.im gona loosely call it moondust.
then came the coffee filter bit
almost nothing trapped in the filter.could be any number of reasons why not.garbage run is just one.
i had 2 small dishes and 1 larger.smaller have dried and i scrapped this up.
the larger dish looks like its gona oil up or crystalize rather than powder up like the 2 smaller dishes,they were in a cooler spot.
will post another pic as to what this ends up like.

i feel that purging iso is different from the purging of bho and others.iso will purge all by itself given enough time.can apply heat/agitation/breeze to speed things up.
