Outdoor Recipe to organic slow release fertilizer for outoor grow?

Hey, do anybody have a recipe to a organic slow release fertilizer that don´t attract animals?

I thought of maybe using castings, but i am going to grow guerilla style, and i suppose there already are plenty of worms in forest soil.

I don't know if there is a true slow release organic nute. Maybe some compost, chicken manure,worm castings etc.

If you're talking a pelletized slow-release formula...good luck...let me know if you find one.

Espoma Organics are about as close as it gets IME.

The basic organic soil mix I have posted in TesterX's (and namvet's I believe) threads on TLO recipes works like a charm, especially with a nice heavy top dressing of high P bat guano in early flower...:thumbs:

Zup Hejd Canna bio has given good results in past for me. Also cres recommends osmocote im going to try it with my photo strains. Think they do an organic type. Have a look on there site

Just like cres, I've used Osmocrack for years...not as many years, but still...I have heard lately that they're making an organic line, but I haven't seen it yet...

A lot of people prefer Yield Master over Osmocote (these days) which I will be giving a whirl this season for most of my guerrilla stuff...

I like to make a ring of ferts a few feet out from the plant, it'll grow it's roots to reach it later on.

If you add Mychorrizal, and Azomite, once or twice throughout, your plants can regulate and extend the life of how long, and how much nutrients it absorbs. You can use it on the topsoil before a watering, or put it in the soil from the beginning as well. Something to look into, and not real expensive amendments.

I read not long ago that mixing charcoal into soil helps holding nutes for a longer time, even the liquid ones, so they are slowly released when needed by the plant. On the plus side the charcoal gives more living space for microcultures in soil and also retains water and more air than plain soil.
On the minus side, it rises the soil's pH a bit but not much.


Mind, I only read about this, never tried.

Hope it helps, I will put some in my soil this season(0,5-1 kg/m^2).

I tried Advanced Nutrients "Piranha". I think it improved my plants actually. I only had 70 grams of it, so i didn´t had enough to give every plant. So i saw the results, and it spoke for the "Piranha powder".

I need to raise the pH, so that´s just great. I have searhed for Osmocote since last year, when Cres told me about it. And a couple of days ago i was in a garden store that sold Osmo in 300 gram cans. I will try it, but 300 grams only enough for 2 plants to my calculations. I only bought one, but i hope they will keep selling them.

Do you guys think that there maybe is enough ferts in the native soil already. What do you guys have experience when guerilla growing in only native soil?
