Hey guys, hope everybody had a bareable monday. I Went up for a look tonight to see if I can pinpoint the smell from the Diva and the Chronic. It's tricky for me as smell association is never my strong point. I thought I'd give it a try and post for my own future reference. Here is what I'm thinking..
Diva - the first thing I pick up on is the sweetness, like a maple syrup kind of sweetness. Almost sickly sweet with a skunky background. I expect this to change as the buds mature. All I can say is that for now, it's far from what i would call a berry smell. La Diva is a cross of Il Diavolo and Blue Berry. So perhaps I have more of the Diavolo characteristics
Chronic - I'm getting a faint fruity smell but not a citrus smell. Its hard to nail down.. Thing is when I rub the stem I get the Limey sherbet-ish fragrance that I expected of this one. Could be my mind playing tricks but i have grown this strain before and it is very familiar. Chronic Ryder is a cross of Chronic x Lowryder#2
I can say for sure that it's not a Lowryder Smell. I must of grown 15 of the things and they have a very distinctive aroma. I really dont care for Lowryder #2 so much anymore, I smoked too much and I got a bit tired of it
Well that's all I have for now. If anybody has grown either of these feel free to post your thoughts. I'll update with photos tomorrow as usual. :smokebuds:
