Just to touch base on the PPM..first off we use the 700 scale. Secondly (and will be fixed stat) in australia and new zealand, they have meters that pick up on some of the dissolved organics. Unless you are using a high end meter (really nice Myron meters), your ppms will read 200-300 lower than what is on our feeding chart and that is OK to be at those ppms. Our feed schedule is a jumping off point (real polite...). If your ladies start yellowing from the bottom to the top (a pale yellowing indicating a shortage or nutrition...not to be confused with nuking your plant)...add 1-2ml/gal or the base nutrient. If a lady is slowed down to almost a point of standstill...she is rounding third base to being in lockout. Ladies all feed differently, and have different appetites, so there is no one set schedule regarding feeding...just remember people...start light...YOU CAN ALWAYS ADD MORE!!!...but flushing and hitting the reset button after blasting them and locking them out is much more stressful.
Basically start at our feed schedule, and if you are the type to really push your ladies....push em..but ramp up slowly, and as soon as you think the girls are stressed, write down that dosing and back off just a bit. Then after a breather...try and push her again.
They are just like people..IN NO WAY AM I ADVOCATING ROIDS...THIS IS JUST AN EXAMPLE THAT MAKES IT EASY FOR MANY TO UNDERSTAND
.if you have a guy who does steroids for 6 months straight, he will be massive, but his heart will pop lol
If you have a guy cycling steroids properly, and taking time off of them to rest and recover and take the necessary steps to negate as many of the side effects as possible, he won't be as big as the other guy...but he will be huge and his heart is less likely to pop.
DISCLAIMER!!!
More nutes doesn't equal bigger and better, in some cases it can have the opposite effect. Keep your environment in check, and just try minimize the stress the ladies encounter. Learn the specific lady you are running and take her to her genetic potential.
Sorry about the mini rant...just had a convo with someone a little bit ago regarding the same topic.
Happy growing!
