Lighting Royal Queen/Strawberry Cough

New soil mix is cooking well, looking active.

I wanted to use up the last of my Biobizz soil so I can start fresh in the summer with a rev mix or similar to what A4/Pop/EOF posted in organics section, but here is the recipe for this mix;

4 gallon Lightmix
1 gallon Allmix
2 gallon Perlite
1 cup Vermiculite
1 cup Leaf Compost
2 cups EWC
1/4 cup Mycorr
0.5 cup Dolomite Lime
0.5 cup Hoof & Horn 13-0-0
0.5 cup Bat Guano 1-10-1
0.5 cup Sulphate of Potash
0.5 cup Seaweed Meal
0.5 cup Epsom Salts

Watered with rainwater and Molasses to kick it off.
Been sat for almost 2 months now, been adding the bits from left over tea's from current grow. Going to test the pH shortly and amend if I need to.

Hopefully with some tea's and/or topdressing it will be good. Undecided if to do an auto run or another photo but hopefully it will work for both, nice to see the activity going on ready for 5 weeks when I'll be starting the next grow.

I'm wanting to make a flowering tea on Sunday for the RQ/SC. Does anyone have any advice on what to use? I haven't used a tea for a few weeks as I was seeing burn on the SC. The soil is pretty hot as it is so I top dressed with some Mycorr earlier in the week.

Can anyone suggest a mild flower tea, I'll be making half a gallon, here's what I have to use:

Seaweed Meal
Biobizz Grow
Biobizz Bloom
Dried Worm Castings
Wormcastings from my worm farm
Hoof and Horn 13-0-0
Fish/Blood/Bone 5-5-6.5
Bonemeal
Sulphate of Potash
Mycorr
Leaf Compost
Molasses
Epsom Salts

I was thinking about including some leaf compost as from what I've seen it is SUPER active, maybe this and some fresh worm castings as a base?

Cheers.

Cool nice soil recipe, that something i might bookmark for myself. Unfortunately i cant help you with it dude as im fairly new to organics. The plants are looking fantastic by the way dazed, i really cant wait to see what they are going to yield for you.

Thanks bro, I'm hoping this is my best haul yet,

Got my eye on the Cough, she is burning still and although she looks really healthy I'm slightly concerned. I took some lower leaves from both just now, not going to water tomorrow, probably Monday or Tuesday. I think I'm overwatering slightly (still) so backing off for a minute see what they do.

Burn baby Burn....

Quick update, things are looking good. I just set a tea brewing for tomorrow as it's 7 days since they had any water, today is the first time I have used castings from my worm farm. Really impressed, so rich and dark, pure goodness! I added a handful to 2 litres of rainwater with 1/2 teaspoon of Molasses, 2 Tsp Seaweed Meal and 1/2 Tsp Epsom Salts, will bubble it for 24 hours and give it them tomorrow if it looks good.

Typical SC brother. Just about anything in the soil is going to burn her. Pretty much water, water, water. The Critical on the other hand should take just about anything you can throw at her. I think you could put the kitchen sink in and they would figure out how to eat it. I have 6 going right now, absolutely love them.

Im guessing you got about 8-10 gallons of soil there?well prolly more like 8 i guess but lol bout 30 some odd Litres..? imho with a half a cup of lime is a little light since them other components will lend to a harder soil. but a good one.just make sure it breaths decent and not too heavy and another 1/2 cup of lime or a small fistful of pellets(prilled lime)if ya have that at all. I agree brother, use water with a few drops of soap or a cpl teaspoons of yucca extract.Yucca will also work to slow activity (tamp it down slightly)in your soil as well as a surfactant too.a lil cal mag n that should help.fluff your soil really really well and a fan n keep the temps up some if ya can.just s few degrees to help the soil dampen up quicker then hit a good watering like I just mentioned and Id think youll be ok. have you used and carb feeds yet??like rice wash water?? you can use that as your base next water and soap and/or yucca( get with me if your using both brother) n a cpl drops of cal mag.

once youve done that a cpl times and taken the dead n dying stuff off ill roll you through (if ya'd like anywho lol) with a Flower tea once shes balanced out a little n tamped down..:Sharing One: Looks great though bro!! beautiful flowers.. i dont suppose you have any B-1 vitamins from kelp fer less? lol Im dying to get a 50 dollar order myself from there. that'll help right after you tamp her down n rinse her through n the last Litre of water a cpl drops of already made B-1 would do ya good too. but thats beyond the scope of this exercise lmfao!!! :Sharing One:Be good brother, hit me up if you need anything my friend!:d5:

Thanks so much guys, decided to scrap that tea and set some water/molasses/esalts bubbling just now. I need to look into my teas, the veg one I do is great, but I wanted to use something different for flower. Eyes buddy, thanks for all that info, I need to go digest it esp the rice wash and B1. I thought the Molasses provided that kind of thing but I was guessing.

One thing about making my teas, I don't seem to be able to get anything creating the foam on top except for this recipe:

2tsp seaweed meal
1/2tsp molasses
1/2tsp Hoof and Horn 13-0-0
1tsp EWC

Whenever I try to brew with anything else, it just doesn't seem as active and doesn't get the same smell or froth going on? I need to experiment and maybe upgrade my airstone.

I'll add another half a cup of dolomite to that soil mix today, I'm really glad you mentioned that as I was thinking the exact same thing these past few weeks. Got plenty of time to sort that out, thanks buddy.

Here are some pics of my tobacco seedlings, shooting up now the sun is out a bit more and temps are not as cold. Need thinning out soon. I'll be sorting the plot they are going in the garden in the next few weeks. Also started off some other seeds for the summer in leaf compost, mainly peppers/tomatoes/aubergines/herbs, might get some Poppy seeds too to play along lol. Oh yeah I'm thinking of putting a couple of autos in the greenhouse but this time caning them so they stay uber short lol.
