Lighting Royal Queen/Strawberry Cough

Eyes is a tea making machine! I'm constantly seeing him whip up a recipe!

Quick update. I've only got 18'' before the SC touches the led! Should I be thinking about some training? They are growing almost an inch a day. They both are throwing pistils out all over the place, get the feeling they've kicked into gear, smelling stronger today than ever, no water today they seem happy enough.

A lower fan showing signs of what I believe to be "dumb ass put too many amendments in an already hot soil" syndrome.

Looking good man! How did you figure out the strain of the RQ (just curious)? I saw on about page 6 you starting calling it ciritical, but wasn't sure if you were somehow able to identify it. Whatever strain it is, it is looking good! subbin fasho

Hey Dazed, those ladies are looking awesome man. Did I tell you how damn wonderful the Strawberry Cough is? Oh you have me wanting to drop an order right now. It is really, really, really good stuff. Really. Did I say really? Such a super clean high. I don't know if it is just me that explains a high like that but I grade my sati buds on how clear it makes my head. To me, the SC is almost like not being high you get so high with no confusion or paranoia setting in and it sets you back down with no sluggish feelings. It is really a special weed in my opinion. Matter of fact, I have just convinced myself to order some seeds.

Sorry for running on, I finally have a few hours to spend on AFN tonight and wanted to stop by my subbed threads.

On to your question about the stretch, man if it were me, I wouldn't supercrop this late into flower. You can, and it will help with the height but it "may" reduce some yields as well. That is just my two cents. If it were me, I would begin tying them down a little a day. If you do about 6" a day you can just about bend them over in a week to ten days with no stress on them at all.

Hey, best of luck! I think you are doing wonderful man!

Hey Animatey, thanks for stopping by, quite literally I found the packaging lol. I didn't take much notice when I dropped the beans as they were my last ones and just threw them in some pots. lol. Stoner moment...

A4 buddy, thanks man! I'm excited for the Cough! How you describe it sounds spot on for what I'm looking for and will most likely order myself some more once I've sampled it, who knows, maybe in the future I will keep a mother and just take clones off her, ooh that would be nice wouldn't it. Ive read such good things about this strain and think it will be THE perfect smoke for me in the daytime. You got me scared about these girls stretching now! I will have to start some LST today, not sure how the heck I can tie them down as there is hardly any horizontal space either, I honestly didn't think they would get this big after 3 weeks of veg. I might have another few inches I can raise the light but it's tight in there!
Thanks for the advice bro, I don't want to stress them or anything too much as they seem really happy and are definitely the best plants I've grown so far.

Much appreciated,

D.

You could try some LST dude but it is a little bit late for that as the plant will be harder to bend now that she has had a awhile to mature.

I have had photos get massive on me so i really cant say for sure, have a look .

It is never too late for LST if you take it easy. That was why I was saying about 6" a day. The first day, tighten up your line and pull them down about 6" and tie off. The second day, pull another 4 or 6. Normally after sitting a night or two at the new height they will begin to form to that position so it will be easier every day to pull some more. I have continued pulling some all the way through flowering and had them almost completely doubled over with the tip still growing up. The haze and high sati strains will continue to stretch all the way through flowering.

The big thing is, go easy, you will feel them give and then tie it. If you happen to get a crack in the stem, duct tape! I have done it, it works.

Thanks for both your advice guys, I do appreciate it! :Sharing One:

Problem is, when I just looked to see how I would attempt it, there is no space for me to pull the branches down to. Tent is pretty much packed like a tin of sardines lol. If any one is worrying me it's the Cough. Esp after seeing the pics you showed me A4, damn they were tall...feel free to post some of your pictures here if you still have them to hand!

I'll wait and see, if it gets out of control I'll have to take action but I'll cross that bridge if and when.

Gave them some rainwater with epsom salts earlier, that's it.

Started a new mix cooking a couple of weeks ago with what soil I had left:

4 gallons Biobizz Light Mix
1 gallon Biobizz Allmix
1 gallon Perlite
few handfuls of Vermiculite
2 cups Wormcasting
1/2 cup Dolomite lime
1/2 cup Hoof & Horn 13-0-0
1/2 cup Bat Guano 1-10-1
1/2 cup Seaweed Meal
1/2 cup Sulphate of Potash
1/2 cup Epsom Salts

Mixed in some leaf mould two days ago and I got the webs on top already. I'm honestly amazed by this stuff, anyone who is into organics should definitely try it, it just seems super active, full of microbes.
