Going to suck it up and admit I've learnt an extremely (if not super basic) important lesson here. Airpots are a completely different beast to the normal pots I was using and I have been screwing up royally when watering. Not enough fresh water to my root zone has def contributed to the issues I've experienced not only on this grow, but I'm starting to think past ones too. Apart from the slight lock-out I was experiencing the thing that had me worried was the smell coming from the tent. The plants didn't have the lush, dank smell we all love, in fact they didn't smell like cannabis at all. More a wet, damp, musky smell which made me check the plants daily for signs of mould but I could never see anything. Even when the soil was getting ready for water, still a strange earthy smell.....I'm sure this was due to stale stagnant water in the root zone. I just hadn't been giving them enough to ensure the old water was being replaced by the fresh oxygenated stuff. All the run off which comes out the side of the pot was fooling me. :slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps::slaps:
When I opened the tent just now, bam, it hit me, a sweet smell of dank strawberries. The plants have improved a lot overnight and seem happier, shinier (--is that a word?) and smell lovely. What a fool I now feel :dunno:.....
Heres some pics that cheered me up!
