Hi, I have a 12 day old seedling recently x-planted from a solo cup. Does not seem to have been stunted but has a strange yellowing sort of appearance. Not sure if this is normal.

Medium/grow method: sunshinemix [HASHTAG]#4[/HASHTAG]

Feed: and supplements used: 1/8 of a tsp/per gallon general hydroponics 3 part.

water source: Tap water PH'd to 6.3

Strain/age: 12 day old think different.

light used: 900w(425actual wat) Viparspectra junk

Climate:74-79 and a RH of 40-45

Thank you.

ahhh bugs ! don't say bugs ! I see the lil white spots that I think you are referring to as bugs. I took my eye spy to them and I think it just might be dirt and debris from the x-plant. But I've never dealt with bugs and maybe unsure what I'm looking for. The undersides look clean too..

I would like to like your post, but I cant ! I refuse to have bugs !!!!! Lil bastard nibblers.

@Waira @Rollin_along @MedCzech Please save me and tell me it's not bugs !

Thx.

Started off same way for me a couple of days a go I just seem to be keeping them under control it's wounded me can't shake them. But my leaves all looked clean as well takes a few days to really show out. Turn your fans off for 15 mind or so then shake the plant you'll soon know if they all fall/fly out at you.

I will do James. What kind of bugs are you thinking ? The white flecks , definitely not moving and no legs/wings. They look more like dandruff from my big ol beard. Do the plant symptoms look similar to yours ?

I'll have the wifey take a closer look for me in the morning. Bugs are her thing. I do snakes, mice, bats, bears and anything else. But lil flying/jumpy,, not for me !

Looks like thrips mate they have like 5 cycles they go through from pupae to winged bastards. Look for any holes in leafs and black dots underneath and on top of them. Also leaves start to yellow and die :( also look for any silver like snail trails

They like the area at the bottom of the plant I've pruned all the lower section of my plant and been using resolva natural power as I'm in flower [emoji36][emoji27][emoji22] could be wrong tho post it on the infirmary section just looks similar to how my problem started

Well , I think you really saved the day for me James, but maybe not the young lady in the pic above. We searched a long time and I think I am clear of thrips in my grow tent. However...…….. You got us really looking for bugs and we found what I am pretty sure are fungus gnats chewing on my photo period girls vegging outside the tent. :( I had thought I had messed up watering somehow because they had turned all sorts of ugly fast. I only found 2 flying around, but I am sure there is more. The damage is extensive. You may have just saved my 4 girls from a nasty fate ! :D I am keeping close watch on the girls in the tent for any sign of bugs.. Hopefully those white spots are just debris from x-plant.

If not bugs, could the seedling above be light stress under the vs 900 ? I had them 40 inches away from the light but I had just turned on the bloom switch the day before symptoms started showing.

Thx.

:toke: Yellowing isn't bug related,.. while new growth can look pale, this might be something else,.. have you tested the pH in that pot? It's not likely that the Mix is off, but it might be,... the feeds are weak, maybe too much so,.. best way to measure this is with a TDS or EC meter, not going by dilution according to recommended full strength,...
As for the photo's, unless you have scores of gnats around indicating a breeding population in the pot itself, they aren't the cause of the troubles either,..
BTW how far away is that light?
