I ordered some kush seed a few weeks ago----soaked over night then placed in rockwool, came up however after 2 days one plant had got weak and fell over---any ideas---these a 10 dollar seed!!!only using a 23 watt clf to get them going.im sure the first one is probably gonna die.no ferts

Similar thing happened to my White widow Autoflowering 2 day old seedling. It just wilted and died

Did the stem get real thin and shrivel up when it fell? Had the same thing happen to me, was told it was a fungus that prob got in from nicking the stem with my fingernail or something. I have had some sprouts that would just uber stretch too and had to rebury them. If the top is still curling towards the light you can just rebury it deeper and the extra stem will make roots. Got any pics?

Damping off most likely. Very common in rockwool. They hold too much water to be ideal for mj. Usable, not ideal. Your best bet for hydro is rapid rooters. The dome kind, not the square ones that come in a sheet. they dry out in 2 seconds.

I hope that wsof some use.

Yes, if the stem got thin and turned brown it's damping off. Misting with a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide, 1 tablespoon per quart of water, will usually stop it. Unfortunately once it starts it's usually too late and the seedling will likely die.

Personally I prefer rock wool over Rapid Rooters. Damping off was a big issue for me when using Rapid Rooters so I've stopped using them and switched to rock wool to start my hydro plants. Since making the change I've only lost one seedling to damping off where with the Rooters, I was losing about 10% of my seedlings.
