Grow Mediums Sensi Seeds Super Skunk SCROG (Autopots, AutoCobs, & Mega Crop Oh, MY!)

Looking like its getting more and more juicy day by day! btw which size MEGACROP bag did you buy? is it long lasting?

Yes it is and I really do like showing it day by day. :d5:

I purchased the 1kg bag and since I started bloom, almost 50 days ago, with this one girl I have used 135g. I can’t imagine, including a normal veg period, using more than 200g total. I’m thinking a 1kg should last me 2-4 grows easily. Of course depending on the size of the grow your mileage may vary. This plant was originally a mother plant so can’t say how much she used during veg since she is approximately 8 months old now, but at as a mother she only got a gallon a week with 3g of MC. I hope this helps.

I refuse to purchase their monster sized bag for a couple reasons. One this stuff absorbs moisture and clumps up if you let it and in my damp basement I would fear the big bag might turn into a rock. Second reason, is that it’s obvious by their changing nutrient line that they are still perfecting this stuff. So I would rather purchase smaller bags and be able to enjoy their changes as they come, than buying a bag that will last me years.

@HemiSync took you up on your invite from several days ago to catch up on this adventure. And MAN, I have to say this is some impressive SCROG. And it certainly doesn't show anywhere as a first. Well, first place maybe!!! Even more impressive that this had its start with a mother who had served you well.
Lots of good info here on Mega Crop dosing, I may need to come back and study this more closely in the future. Got a bag in conjunction with a couple of BigSm0's COB's but I won't be trying it out till winter rolls around. But thanks in advance for the good info on dosing. I like the way you pushed her until you started seeing tip burn. Also halfing the base and doubling the bloom, makes perfect sense but probably one of those things I would have never thought of.
Going to be watching the rest of this to see how well those colas fill in and finish. Back in my SOG days I often wondered how far you could push a SCROG before you reached the point of diminishing return - how many tops can the plant's roots / branches support before they start decreasing in size? I'd say you are near the point of all-you-can-get out of her. Quite impressive work and a beauty to behold. Well done my Friend.
:slap:
I would have liked / posted more, but for some reason AFN keeps kicking me offline. Who did I piss off today???????

:thanks: for the slap and the kind words. I have certainly learned a lot with my first SCROG and by reading a particular thread just about scrogging on another forum that is years long. I plan on trying again with a good sativa dominant hybrid to try on next time. I want to see buds twice this size. :yay: Next time with a sativa I want to try weaving, another scrog technique I’m learning about and will use.

Biggest problem I had was of my own doing. I didn’t veg her into the screen long enough and now I have some of these buds with beautiful internodal gaps that I don’t think are going to fill in. The buds I have are solid nugs, so it won’t be a complete loss. She is a quick flowering lady and will most likely be ready at 60 days. 60 days since flip or first sign of flowers I’m still not sure and I’m tracking both. I’m going to push her as long as possible to give her a chance. I once heard a grower say, many growers lose 1/4 of their yeild because they harvest to soon. I’m watching her trichs daily now and they are stacking up nicely but going cloudy way faster than I would like, but I will take what she offers when the time is right. She was a fine mother plant and talking about diminishing returns, I am considering revegging her into the same screen. Think it would be worth the effort? lol

I’ve done a few journals on here and whenever I come back to one to see how I did something, I always find something that I wish I had logged. Therefore I try to log as much as I can think of. Plus this grow I’m really having fun playing with MC and dosing as you have noticed. It’s just so easy with MC, Autopots, and AutoCobs.

Thanks again for stopping by, don’t let AFN keep you from finishing your thoughts. Post in here anytime, it’s pretty much dead around here anyhow, so I appreciate the feedback. :d5:

That made me feel guilty for not commenting more often LOL. It's just such a great job for a first scrog, what more can I say? :pass:
No guilt zone here lady. :smoking:I’ve always said I journal for myself primarily and for those seeking knowledge and what not to do later. Although, I love talks about technique and styles of growing as well.

She is a brilliant star on a dark night!!! She stands out on her own... You can't help but notice her...
