Indoor RocBud/Mephisto 5x5 grow.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to get my journal started for this next grow. The plan is to veg out 2 photoperiods while my 4 autoflowers run their cycle on a 18/6 light schedule. Once they are harvested or pretty much done gonna throw the photoperiods into flower on 12/12. The reason for the photoperiods is just that Im not all the way on par with yielding alot from my autos yet so I wanted to make sure I get a pretty good amount this time while sharpening my autoflower skills along the way. Just harvested my last autoflower grow of 6 plants, half is curing and half is still drying. It's looking like a yield of about 5-6 ozs total.

Strains:
1 Forum Stomper X 3 Bears OG
2 Purple Dodgers (Purple Rocberry X Jammy Dodgers)
1 Forgotten Cookies F1
2 Do Sweet Dos (PhotoPeriods)

Lighting/ environment:
2x Kingbrite 240w QB 3500k spectrum
Mars Hydro TS1000 (if needed)
AC infinity Cloudline T6
6in ipower carbon filter
5x5 ipower tent.
Couple rotating fans in tent.

Medium/Container:
Roots organic Original amended with Roots organics dry nutrients Grow/Foundation, some extra worm castings as well. Also sprinkled some great white into the soil and let it cook about 2 weeks. Basically just mixed in everything and misted the soil, let it sit in a closed tote with some holes. Unsure if I did it correctly lmao. Forum stomper will be transplanted into a 3 gallon air pot this week. Waiting on 2 gallon rain science grow bags for the purple dodgers and cookies, the PhotoPeriods are in 5gal rain science bags with used roots soil from last grow re amended with the same process as the new soil.


Nutrients:
Roots organic dry nutrients, Grow, Foundation, Calmag, Bloom.
Great White mycorrhizae
MegaCrop ( If needed )
Soul Big Swell. ( If needed )
Cyco pH Down
Gen hydro pH up
Blue lab pH pen.
Felt like the roots soil last time didn't have a lot of nutrients and ultimately led to some deficiencies so I added some of the grow and foundation to the soil. Debating on switching to mega crop around week 3-4 or switching to the roots organics dry bloom nutrients. Still haven't decided yet.


Still super new to this so I'm always open for suggestions/ constructive criticism. Only have about 9 plants total under my belt over the past 2 years. Had to start the Forum stomper x 3bog before everything else to meet a deadline for a Mephisto freebie grow off. She was Germed 9/5, popped out of soil 9/8. Here's a picture from last night. Next time when mixing the grow media, build it like a compost pile. Layer your ingredients and wet it as you build it in your tote.It's easier to wet it properly as you go. Your media should be like a squeezed out sponge, close to what it would be if growing in it. You can mix it as you go or wait until time to turn the pile. Turn the media once the temps start on the decline. Mix and re-wet if needed. Keep turning until it won't heat up.

I started with the same Roots Organic medial. I added an organic non.gmo or medicated chicken laying feed crumble, not pellets, Thorvin kelp, worm castings, alfalfa meal, Mycos and compost tea from my compost(for local microbes and a 50/50 mix of Mictonized Humic Acid and BioChar product(Look for "HumiChar" on Amazon). My media was ready in just over 10 days when it wouldn't heat back up after turning.

Mines probably been sitting about 10 days now, I only stirred it one time at the start when mixing everything in. My local store has some other stuff I could maybe add in but I'm not sure about it. (Blood meal & Bone meal) I do have an instant compost tea I could use at some point, says it makes a gallon. Still gonna be probably another week or more till my pots get here, any risk of the soil molding inside the tote ?

I would stir it again and water to the proper level to see if it heats back up. It may take a bit of watering and stirring before it will get to the proper moisture level.
You'll be fine! You said the tote has air holes. I just have the top on loosely for air. The only mold you're likely to see is what you added.

I see some people using straw on top of their soil, I just so happen to have an abundance of straw in my shed. Would this be of any benefit to use once they're potted or na ?

2 gallon rain science bags came in the mail yesterday, super fast delivery with those people ordering directly from their website. Seriously took all of about 3 days. Filled them with soil and got the medium completely saturated with PhD water. Decided to do 2 purple dodgers and 1 Forgotten cookies instead of the original 3 purple dodgers idea. Dropped all of those seeds in a glass of water to soak then going straight into the 2 gallon pots. Transplanted the FSx3BOG to her final home in the 3 gallon air pot, sprinkled great white all over the roots, which were already huge and shooting out of the solo cup hopefully she takes off in the air pot. Here's an update, had alot going on here lately. 2 seeds failed to germinate, 1 purple dodgers made it through. Both photo periods are doing fine I actually had to seperate the photoperiods from the grow and relocate the remaining autoflowers to my small tent for the time being until it's time for flower. This happened because of reasons beyond my control with that being said I'm also fighting off some gnats. Have some diatomascus earth and nematodes on the way to hopefully solve the problem, ordered some new soil as well, Promix HP and some Fox farms ocean forest. Will be replacing the failed seeds with another forgotten cookies and possibly a different strain from mephisto. These are the strains I have to pick from if anyone has any suggestions,

The Forum Stomper x 3BOG is on day 21 as of today and she seems to be doing well from what I can see, do you all think she's about on point for 3 weeks ? I know I either want to top or LST but haven't made up my mind yet, I topped one of my last autoflowers and it turned out super good. Fed her an 1/8th a teaspoon of MegaCrop last watering. Next feeding I will add some more great white and mega crop into the mix and top dress with a little bit of worm castings. Only thing I've seen wrong are these little yellow spots on the leaves that just popped up, idk what it could be.

Topped on day 23. Been eagerly waiting on mephistos US store to open up, trying to snag Alien VS triangle and some grape walker kush for next go. Also first pistils have shot out as of this morning.

Day 27 Forum Stomper x 3BOG update, couple days after I topped her new growth had already shot up a ton and I figured the stretch has started so I did some LST on all the branches, and took off 4-5 huge fan leaves so I'm hoping I didn't stress her out too much, from here on out it'll be nothing but adjusting LST hooks and probably a small Defoliation in like maybe 2 weeks at which point I'ma try to take off alot of the lower stuff that will be just larf. My nematodes came in the mail and I added them to the last watering to try and fight off these gnats, all of the seedlings died for some reason except for the Do Sweet dos photo period and FSx3BOG so I'll be starting 3 new autoflowers to take there place once my bag of Promix HP and FF Oceans forrest arrives. I honestly don't have a clue what day the photo period is on just haven't been paying attention lol. They're both under the 240w kingbrite at a little over half strength. Heres a picture before defol and lst, and a couple pictures after.

Update day 36: Don't have too much to say about this one, got way too much going on at home I've been focusing on with my relationship and my children. Good thing all the other plants never made it or else they woulda got neglected anyway This plant is exploding with growth since I topped it way back when, so many tops now. Tied all of the branches down even, been feeding nothing but PhD water with great white microbes every 2 weeks and mega crop every watering. Up to 1 1/2 table spoons of mega crop per gallon. Gonna try to add in sweet candy next grow when ever that may be. Package came in the mail finally, got some diatomascus earth, dolomite lime, Promix HP, and FF ocean forrest. This forum stomper X 3bog could possibly be my best autoflower yet, during a very dark time in my life. Always gotta be thankful I have some bud to keep my sanity during this all.

Also there's some pictures of the do sweet dos too. Gonna be mainlining her or attempting to just for some fun since it's a PhotoPeriod. Any advice or constructive criticism is greatly appreciated
