Grow Mediums Sensi Seeds Super Skunk SCROG (Autopots, AutoCobs, & Mega Crop Oh, MY!)

Being that this is a photo strain, I will not be giving a day count until the flip. Everyday I’m in here rearranging her branches and bud sites. Tonight I managed to get her spread 21x24 inches up from 18x20” that she was just a couple days ago. She has been drinking a good 1/2 inch of water daily from the reservoir. I added 2 more gallons today and upped the dose to 3.5g per gallon.

Yeah wish I was able to keep a mother a couple years ago when my buddy had me care for a bunch of clones of a jack herer again bread over years to handle our conditions. I kept one for caring for the others long enough to go outside. Absolutely wonderful smoke. Thought I had an in for years to come with the jack but the man who had the mother moved out of the area after 60 years living and growing and breading here.
I would love to have the time and legality to do an outdoor breeding program here. Conditions here suck for guerrilla grows because of humidity, dampness and the mold that comes with it, lack of sun, extremes in temps during most seasons which is a short one here. If it’s somewhere that you can tend to them every day then it’s okay mostly. LOL

We had a local grower that had a strain called Purple Erkle that they had dialed in for the area, but then he got himself busted and I didn’t have a cut of it. :shrug:

@Greenleaf Nutrients
Just thought I’d tag you in, just in case you might be interested what I’m doing with your nutrients. This photo lady has been on Mega Crop since she popped out of her seed casing. Along with the twenty or so clones she provided me and friends, which were all on the same amount of MC as their momma from the moment they were cut and loving it.

I always like to show my mistakes as well as accomplishments. So I think I put way too much light on this lady and was causing light stress. She is on the exact same feed she was before uppotting her so I don’t think it’s lockout or anything like that. Maybe some of you cob fans can jump in with an opinion.

I had 220 watts of cobs shining down on them from 24 inches. After taking these pictures I backed the cobs back up to 32 inches an turned half of them off. At the time of them being on right where the most leaf damage has occurred my lux meter was reading the highest at 35k.

Curious too. If that is light stress, I've been treating my plant for the wrong thing. I thought my similar looking leafs were ph lockout of calcium.
I pulled the lights back up over 24 hours ago and removed the offending leaves. Tonight when I get home, if it’s starting on new leaves I probably have another issue. Not sure how it can be pH, my reservoir has not drifted more than a point from 6.5 all week and I’m growing in soil/perlite now.

Thanks for popping in and checking things out. I’m running straight MC right now and will be adding SC starting Monday when it arrives. Not sure why but this journal is not getting much attention, but I continue to journal anyways. LOL

Alrighty then, we have moved the lights up significantly and even turned one off. The issue is still happening starting on upper leaves and working its way down. Reservoir has been at 6.45-6.65 all week and running right at 1.0EC. I started to rethink what I started with and realized she may just be underfed and lacking some cal/mag. Mainly because I had not taken into account when uppotting that she had already been in that medium for over two months rootbound. So she had most likely used up anything in the medium and it would be deficient.

So today I’m I grabbed a gallon out of the reservoir, there is about two in there, added 1g of MC and 3.5g of CMP. That brings it up to approximately 4gpg MC and less than 2gpg of CMP. Hey, either they suck it up and look better or we back up and try something else. :shrug:That’s the wonder of photo ladies they take a licking and keep on vegging.:rofl:

Still running three AutoCobs at 32 inches above the canopy. Got some SC in the mail, so mixed up some fresh nutes with 4gpg MC / 2gpg CaMag / .35gpl SC. this left me with an EC of 1.5 or 750ppm. Added 3 gallons to the reservoir and at the same time top fed the girls 400 ml of Recharge. I have found that amount is just enough to not overflow the tray. Usually takes a day or two for the plant to drink the extra in the tray and for the autovalve to start pulling from the reservoir again. Anyhow here she is after 3 days on the new formula. Still vegging at 16/8 and will be for at least another week while I see if I finally have the nutrients and lights dialed in. The new growth looks much better so far. If this keeps up I will be flipping her next week and then the SCROGing fun will really begin.

Hey @HemiSync you have just given me the perfect thing to do with my Sweet Seeds mother plant which has different strains grafted on - I'll scrog her! I've got to wait until my current photos have finished then I can set the tent up for one plant with a scrog net. I have something similar to you to use, mine's plastic trellis (if I can find it). She's currently getting fed small amounts of MC anyway. My reason for not keeping her is she was an experiment and the strains are all unidentified as they were out of a mixed pack. If I can work out what they are once they're flowered out I could always re-veg her I guess.

I'm now subbed!
