Sure fair enough, but it’s one option that does work. There are other options available. Nothing quite as convenient as a card but we’re working on that.

To be honest I’m not that frugal i like a good deal as much as the next man, but if I need something quickly and can afford it then I weigh up what the trade off is and don’t agonize over it past that. And i’ve Also never made a chargeback to a company that I can remember. But as you say we all have different mindsets and shopping habits.

Indeed previously with PayPal but seeds are on PayPal’s naughty list, along with most other easily integrateable payment solutions.
So we’re having a new website built and will have a custom payment provider that caters to our industry. But of course to do this properly takes time.
 
The biggest issue with sending cash is that the local Den of Thieves known as the Postal Service, no matter which country you live in, know that anything like a card being sent to certain addresses is likely to contain cash and it is an invitation to thievery. Even money orders made out to a specific name/company are not safe from this, so the ONLY option is registered, trackable, insured sending if you have to follow that route.

I understand the problems with PayPal and credit cards in the US as it is "BIG SCARY DRUGS" and they want to keep their asses covered, even though they don't have any issue taking payments for assorted addictive medications and alcohol, so the only option until the CC system is in place is NOT To send cash or money orders without spending the extra few bucks on registered and insured sending.

There is no other option.

It's different on this side of the pond in Euroland, most places will not accept credit cards but that is because of the charges imposed by Visa/Mastercard, my own bank card is perfectly acceptable and, well, I wouldn't deal with anyone who does not give me secure electronic payment via my debit card.

As I said Monday will be 2 weeks and maybe I’ll get that famous “ your order has been shipped “ or I’m out cash

I've always paid by bank transfer through PayPal, is that still an option? Or is PayPal simply off the table? @mephisto

Thurs 27/09 - you say: will send cash out on Monday unless money orders are an option

Friday 28/09 - you say: sent 4 emails no reply, why? (I don’t see those 4 emails anywhere sorry)

Tuesday 02/10 - brad says: sorry for the late reply we’ve been waiting for confirmation from our us team member as to if he could accept money orders and he needed to know the info to add to the payment replies and reply to you with the relevant info

Tuesday 02/10 - you said: thanks but you’d sent cash already with your order number

In that case he should have asked for the tracking for it so he could advise our us team member that money for your order was on the way. But he could have been waiting for clarification that a payment had arrived between now and the weekend at hand here. He has to wait to see what payments arrived for what orders and to mark them off as paid to update our order system manually,

On Sunday 07th you emailed to ask if the cash had arrived

On Tuesday 9th you asked if the payment had been received again

On weds 10th you asked again

.......

Weds 10th brad asked for the tracking, you didn’t mention the number just said you’d check in at the weekend again

......

Thurs 11th you said brad I sent cash October 1st

......

Friday 12th you said it’s hard to get a response from us and you’re still waiting

......

Friday 12th brad says: I’ve asked for a tracking number for what you’ve sent, do you have one?

......

Friday 12th you said: no you didn’t send it with tracking, guess you got screwed it’s been 2 weeks already.

......

I appreciate there’s some gaps in communication here from our side. I know brad had outgoing email issues, checking our hosting now they have a notice on site saying there were connectivity issues on the mail server and post updates about the work they’re carrying out to rectify it between the 10th and 12th

Brad submitted a customer support ticket at 9am on the 9th related to an email error and no outgoing emails possible

...

So I think there was some bad email juju along the way, but also some miscommunication from both parties.

In the past this is why we had steered away from doing cash when people had asked because it takes a lot more legwork, communication and time between team members to resolve orders, especially when working in different time zones.
