Most of the time it can happen right at the end of the grow in the last couple of weeks on both Auto's and Photo's (I've seen it way more with photo fems)... normally it means the breeders are not doing their job properly and not testing their shit over and over... but there is the rare case it's not there fault but I would say that 99% of the time it is...hey this plant is naturally hermaphroditic, nature will find a way... also if you push a plant passed its best it will do it naturally to re-seed it self, this is when I've seen it in auto's when I've been looking to take it that extra weeks or 2 for super couch lock.

Foxtailing can be a normal genetic thing, or it maybe a response to a bloom boost timed to perfection, or one nutrient line may cause it more than another... or its a big sign you have way to much light... now it's not as bad as your plant doing a hermie but it would be a sign that you may have to much light... the buds will start to grow on top of its self creating a tail like structure sticking out of the top of the cola its forming on... most of the time I've seen it in my garden its been genetics and PK boosters, my OGCDK cut does it naturally and recently I introduced Winter Frost to my line up, timed it bang on and that OGCDK just went mental, threw out way more foxtials than the last time I grew her... If its too much light then normally they are quite long in size and way more tail like... again its something you can't miss, your eye will be draw to it.

Thanks Slater, think I'll have to educate my garden carer now, so they know what to look for too.
Much appreciated.

We lost out dog to cancer which knocked me and the misses for 6, it still hurts. We then got descended on by family and friends over the holidays. I had to go into semi lock down with the garden and AFN for a couple of weeks. To many prying eye's about the place and too many questions on where I get my smoke from... and I won't go into details of how @Son of Hobbes has got me chained to Photoshop designing the logo for HOTT, man those whips and nipple screws sure do hurt boss... any way, we have our house back to our selves now and no one is looking over my shoulder, back to the job of gardening and testing these awesome lights.

so where are we at... I think the last time we had a look I was just about to flip into flower

End of week 2 / start of week 3 and it's that time again for the leaf strip, didn't go to heavy on these girls as it the first time I've grown this strain.

Bit of gap in the pics and a jump to the end of the month, this is where I had to go into super secret squirrel mode and sneak into the garden when I could and when no one was looking. The proof will be in the smoke at the end so I can't judge just yet but from a gardening point of view they are slow to get going... we are going into week 6 on Friday so I'm hoping we get a bit of an explosion on those buds.

To finish this up date here is are couple of pics of buds from Round 2 of the SANlight test (mid cure) and getting their first smoke test... OG Candy Dawg Kush by seedstockers (photo)

Now this is the point of the testing I have been waiting for, to see if the SANlight's had raised my game in any way... The first grow with Zombie Kush smashed it out of the park but that was with seed so I had no real bench mark to go by other than I had grown it a year before from seed. With this cut of OGCDK I had grown it out twice before under HLG QB's so I knew what to expect on the bud density, shape, size turps etc etc... now we are dry, trimmed and about mid cure we are ready for a sample.

What can I say but these buds are far superior to any thing I have ever grown before... before I rattle on on how I'm fast becoming a SANlight fan boy we must must take into account of me getting to know this cut way better and nailing its needs when it needed it through out the grow... BUT... man those buds are super dense compared to the other two times grew this cut. Massive difference in my books, huge... before under the HLG QB's (v1) they had a little give, a touch spongy and lost a little size in the dry, still yielded very well... This time round they are solid all the way down including the secondary bud sites below. They lost hardly any size in drying grew fatter and are way more sticky to the touch. You would think it was two different plants if it wasn't for the turp profile by looking at the buds. If I had a bud from the last grow I did with this cut to compare with you would be questioning are they the same... Tricombe production was great as well as the turps, got a great return on the water hash from the trim, I think the product Winter Frost has helped in that department (good stuff that, unicorn piss that realy does work)... I've also hit a record yield in that space, smashed it out the park, 2 fields down and lost the ball in some brambles. Its going to be hard to beat it with out getting a bigger tent and that's all down to the SANlights... Awesome lights, worth every penny of there large price tag.

Has the SANlight Q6W raised my game... yes it has.

Thank you for stopping by and now we are back on the horse I will try and get those up date's coming in faster... I know it very well and what it can do... let's SANlight the fuck out her and grown some huge buds.

Grow safe people, keep it green and I will

View attachment 1056275

End of week 2 / start of week 3 and it's that time again for the leaf strip, didn't go to heavy on these girls as it the first time I've grown this strain.

View attachment 1056276 View attachment 1056279

Bit of gap in the pics and a jump to the end of the month, this is where I had to go into super secret squirrel mode and sneak into the garden when I could and when no one was looking. I just plain old forgot to take any pics.

28th to the 30th (week 3/4 of flower, I think)... fully recovered from the leaf strip (they was preying the next day) and settling in at the end of the stretch... As usual plants are just loving the SANlights, they produce such a lovely emerald green to colour of the leaves

View attachment 1056281 View attachment 1056282

3rd to 5th of May... week 5 of flower
Not very vigorous these Zkittles by Black Skull seeds, I'm starting to get some real nice turps and the frost is looking awesome but the action is a little slow. The proof will be in the smoke at the end so I can't judge just yet but from a gardening point of view they are slow to get going... we are going into week 6 on Friday so I'm hoping we get a bit of an explosion on those buds.

View attachment 1056283 View attachment 1056285

View attachment 1056292

Has the SANlight Q6W raised my game... yes it has.

View attachment 1056293

Thank you for stopping by and now we are back on the horse I will try and get those up date's coming in faster... I feel a round 4 in the making with Alien Rift by Ocean Grown... A cut I have been keeping around over the last year. I know it very well and what it can do... let's SANlight the fuck out her and grown some huge buds.

Grow safe people, keep it green and I will View attachment 1056322

now thats a update worth waiting for have me proper torn between another GN unit or a sanlight hmmmmm decisions
