I'm looking into my next auto grow being a water only organic grow.
I don't want to fuss with mixing my own soil.

I'm looking into either Kind Soil or Mephisto Supersoil mix. I realize I use these in conjunction with something like Roots Organic soil.

Is this a good organic way to go?

yes, long story short i grow in DWC only but since @Kindsoil stepped up I am now about to run BOTH dirt and hydro. I ordered 150 lbs of @Kindsoil for 50 plants. So yeah you are not going to go wrong with KS and Roots Organinc

Read through as many of the Kindsoil reviews as you can over in that section. It's a good product, but not everybody had great results. May need a little tweaking for auto's depending on who you ask type of thing. :smoking:

I'm interested in giving the Mephisto soil a try myself. May order that next instead of more Kindsoil. Mostly because autos are all Mephisto does, so it's formulated for them so might be a better match and worth a look. Haven't seen many growing around the forums with it yet, but I'd expect that to start to change soon.

I may get both soils and do a side by side comparison with same genetics. Now I just need to decide which Mephisto strain to get...LOL.

hahahahhahahahahha, do you know what my favorite @mephisto strain is.................................? hahahahhahhaha MORE lol

well if I may, Kind Soil will out perform the Mephisto soil additive. unless they have seriously revamped it and Im unaware of it. but Ive used both and its a nice, easy and solid simple additive.works well and I recommend it.it can be a frazzled a little easy as a soil goes but with a small bit of care it works well with a smooth transition.KS is far more aggressive and especially all through flower.possibly veg too, cant recall exactly.

but if your going tomake a lot and dont mind adding cal mag to your waterings every other go,I might take a look at 2.1 master soil mix. from tlosoils .com im assuming D is still about.and its also a very smooth and highly aggressive, and very nice clean transition to it and its an easy mix.just takes a little more work and a 30 gallon tote to mix and store it in.and a 5 gallon paint bucket. but all three are excellent with pro's and cons and all are simplistic soils to use and maintain if used and mixed properly with quality water.

I'm a very small time personal med grower.
My Gorilla tent is 3'x3'. I have had a Mars Hydro II 900W but now I start with T5HO's and then switch to my Sun Systems 315W LEC.
I grow 4 auto plants in 3 gal fabric pots. My last grow was White Widow autos.
This next grow I'm seriously considering Mephisto Hubbabubbasmelloscope and Chem City Blues. 2 each if they will fit...LOL

Kind soil does not claim to be a super soil, but I love it! I've been using it for a while now, and I would recommend it for sure.

What base do you use with the KindSoil?
Do you mix it in a little or just on the bottom as recommended?
I'm thinking of a small layer of coarse perlite on the bottom of my fabric pots for better air and drainage?

thats because Kind Soil does not like the saying super soil. I personally dont care for it either LOL. but thas why they arent a "Super Soil" but if taken on it basis,it is,a living potent aggressive mix ready to be thinned( photo concentrate) with prefered medium and potted up LOL i gotta admit I do like it too,but Im pushing and pulling my KS grows to find the limits of it somewhat since its new to me.works nice though and has a really really really nice pleasant taste too.
