Evening all. I've been giving thought into turning a disused cupboard into a propergation/seedling room so I can obviously prep future grows before they go in the big tent. I have been pricing it up and I've found a good deal on T5 lights. The question I have is; are these lights any good and are they cheap too run?

yes, t5ho is a good light for seedlings, bulb should be in that 5500 to 6500k range

T5's still generate some decent heat...you might run into trouble in a cupboard, you might want to go with T8's and those will be fine for seedlngs as well, and they are cheap as hell and cheap to run

I also use T5 for germinating seedlings and also use T5 2700 for part of my lighting for flowering along with twelve or more cfls until the end.... T5s aren't bad at all . I never had an issue with heat from them .
