New Grower Take the blue pill OR take the red pill (Dp's Auto extreme vs. Star Ryder)

Day 63 Help please

Day 63: a little worried with this leaf discoloration in Star Ryder (see pic above in last post), it has worsened now. The plant seems ok, although it looked a little droopy today, (I'll post some more pics tomorrow). The silica bags aren't working, RH is 79% and we are expecting a four-day rain marathon!

I also realized I haven't been airing the tap water for 24 hrs...so maybe chlorine has locked out some nutrients? pH in water is 6.3 to 6.5 and drinks 1.5-2 L every other day.

Any help will be great please!!:help:

Need help with my plant!! - Star Ryder day 63

Here is the pic. Star Ryder day 63, buds look fine but this leaf (and others) does not!

Unhealthy leaf.jpg

I commented before I haven't been venting my tap water (stoner moments! Lol), maybe have some deficiency due to this? I heard chlorine lockouts some nutrients. What about Iron deficiency? What is weird is that I have an AutoXtreme by her side, feeded and watered in the same manner and she's OK!, maybe related to different strain susceptibility... pH in water is OK and all my feed is organic, now on bloom nutes and on molasses with some Mg added.

S.O.S.

Tender Loving Care Sunday - Star Ryder Day 64

OK guys, I decided to go with my instinct and assumed I have a CalMag def problem here... Took out my Star Ryder from the tent and gave her some two-hour Tender Loving Care. Flushed her with free-chlorine water and added some of my own compost (high in egg shells by the way), trimmed her off her affected leaves and had some small talk with her. Here are the pics:

Just to show off with my wild outdoor Sativas, here is the whole Family, Mother & Clones, 3 of them blooming in the outdoor, with the mother, and two of them in veg indoor, I'll definitely clone this one eternally!! her genetics is awesome:

Sorry i was so late dude, i have been busy lately. yeah thats a mag diff you got there. easy to tell see the way the leaf veins are still green and the rest is going pale thats a sure sign. Well done for going ahead and getting them sorted. As Far as i know egg shells are only high in calcium you need something with mg. try get some epsom salts if you havent already. You can put this in the feed to stop mg.

Sweet Grape by Botanicare. It is a mg supplement I use and it has worked great over three cycles of photos. Give the smoke a real sweet tast as well. I double up on my dosage and it hasnt hurt my autos yet. Seems to throw out more bud sites as well. That might help ya out alittle. It has me multiple times.

Thanks guys, I'll do my homework...thought MagCal was gonna hit me some day!!

Cheers!

Star Ryder vs. AutoXtreme day 70

Quick update, both are packing nice buds now!, Star Ryder are denser really smelly, in spite of the Mag def, already on Epsom salts, I should be ashamed of showing a pic of her LOL! but anyway, she is a warrior and I'm sure will give me a decent yield.

AutoXtreme has less of a Mag def and is also on Epsom salts.

I'm calculating they have a week or two to go, trichs are 50% milky.

Star Ryder vs. AutoXtreme day 71

They look better today! Day 71, Star Ryder on your left and AutoXtreme on your right, these are the thickest buds I've grown so far... man!

Day 75: booth girls are recovering from CalMag def, Star Ryder (on your right) has 100% milky trichomes, so I guess next week she's coming down, wonder if the deficiency will affect the taste/yield?

AutoXtreme (one your left) has suffered too, but is not that bad...maybe because she was closer to the CFL? could be different strain susceptibility as well, I'll check her trichs tomorrow, but looks still too green...

I switched to 12/12 now because I'm squeezing in the wild sativa clones inside the tent, cause they are in full flower. It's getting cold at night down here, around 8 C, and leaves are turning purple, love when they do that...

Outdoor sati clone.jpg

As you can see I'm a better outdoor gardener LOL!

Suppose it's the way to go, trial and error, I've learned a few things in this grow, Cal Mag def, also need to improve my lights and LST them earlier. I'm not expecting a high yield either, but it's a learning curve and I know I will enjoy these autos anyway...

:Sharing One:

Star Ryder vs. AutoXtreme day 77....almost there!

Sunday morning update guys!
Day 78 from sprout, getting anxious now...you all know what I mean, you start fiddling around with your loupe, want to see your leaves turn yellow, smell the buds....awww man it's killing me!

Star Ryder (attached image) is a few steps ahead (has been all the time since week 2), smell is great, fruit and honey! I can't really follow the signs from the leaves cause of the Mag deficiency she's had, some trichs are turning amber, so I guess I'll push her a few more days just flushing and keep checking her daily..

AutoXtreme (just below) is almost 100% milky now, so I think it's gonna be a week from now, she's packing nicely, smell is now more musky and the main cola is showing some nice fattening.

Happy Easter!
