What they say is true, 1 w of light is 1w of heat.
I have also looked at a Telos, and what you say, more expensive when the tax is included and it is single point, so I went with Josephine. I have 20 by now with cree3590, and very happy wjth those, great flexibility . You can run a them harder than 55w by turning the potentiometer screw to max, and get 61-65 w off the wall.

i have an apogee quantum meter coming, and some lightscouts, it will be interesting to see the numbers including the 2 hs1 I have in the vegging tent, and those Chinese lights off ebay I still have. My good mate @pop22 is playing with it at the moment, so we will soon have some real numbers.

You said TGL is not an option, because it rises temps by 3°C. But I doubt this, because my 220W light rises temp by only 4-5°C. As I know, TGL is 50-70W COB.
So if you looking into Telos which is 250W, that will generate 4x as much heat as TGL (4x 50-70W = 200-280W). So even worse for your situation.

I discussed this topic ages ago with @BigSm0 and we(he) made conclusion that is something with tgl design or drivers or even heatsink cannot remmeber now... I HAD ONLY blurple led then and when I bought tgl and put it inside my temp raised by 3c.. I found tgl look a like on e bay , for great price and It's with citizen 1212 3500k same as my autocob.... My second option is two skylines dimmed to 150w.. So what would you choose 4 single cobs (200w) or 2 skylines (300w) plus my autocob...

I already said. If 50-70W TGL make too much heat in your tent, than 250W Telos will make situation even worse.

Buy AC.
