And can anyone with more photoperiod experience let me know if it is normal to see leafy growth in the spots where we typically see preflowers at this time in autoflowers. when I have seen it on autoflowers the Veg period is never long enough for the growth to do anything so I would pluck them off is that the approach I should take here?

Interesting. You could possibly see a leaf bud on that plant. I've had plants in the past that had that extra leaf that put out leaf buds. I'm curious as to if it's possibly a polyploid or tetraploid characteristic.

Wild Thing R2 I believe day 37 from seed. I see a rather large tree in the making for this year's OD season! Still happy in its 1 gallon fabric pot, hopefully I'm able to transplant it outdoors in the native Michigan soil before she gets too root bound. Roughly 45 days left to go before she will get put outdoors. I will probably start to harden it off putting it outside for a couple of hours each day in about 2 to 3 weeks.

As promised in another thread, babies have been moved to their final homes. They are 5 gal buckets inside a 6 gal brewers bucket (for extra res space) transplanted with dynomyco. The soil I am using is CoM bar harbor blend with another helping of perlite. Not sure how much but fit in a gallon container. So I figure another dry qt and 1/2. They are on 24/0 with light set at 100% and DLI is at 25.

That’s all for now folks…

Forgot to mention, @Marshydro 4x4 tent with a FC-E 4800 and Mh 6” exhaust fan with sensor and controller. And a lasko oscillating tower fan.

So far things are doing ok but it's not as much growth as I'd like but it's only Day 14 for the 2 Wild Thing seeds and my lights are at 50% intensity for now. The one accidentally got a water bottle dropped on it a couple days ago and I had to use the plant tag as a temporary support. View attachment IMG_20240331_142128820~2.jpg

Week 4
Howdy y’all :toke: It’s week 4 day # 31 if my math is still “Mathing”
Made some great progress this week bringing the green back into my Wild Thing girls.
Started off with a Top coat of worm castings to both about 1/2” thick. Added my usual straw mulch to the soil surface and thoroughly watered both in from the top of the soil. I did this slowly so I could watch the reservoir float indicator rise to full. I almost immediately started seeing results the next day. I’ve been letting them go 2 days after the indicator is showing empty before hitting them again with water.

Tonight I mixed up a couple gallons of water with:
30ml Big Bloom
30ml Grow Big
1/4 tsp Quillaja
Specs
PH 6.7
PPM 750
EC 1.5
I also topped both, at the 6th node of #2 and the 5th node of #1
Tent temps are running around 75-77 , RH 60-63%. Still on 18/6 light schedule.

In the original post Jean-O mentioned “roughly a 30-45 day veg cycle” so I wanted to get the topping done and see where we are in another week or so.
Here’s a few photos since my week 3 update, as you can see they are much greener now, especially #2 and hopefully that is all behind us now.

They look pretty nice for 14 days. I'm not sure how use to photoperiods you are but they usually veg a bit slower than autos. The Spice Cake side of the cross is a fairly slow vegging plant so u could possibly have some phenos leaning to that side of the pairing. Both The Legend and Spice Cake more than double during the preflower stretch however. I'm betting the one that had the water bottle dropped on it comes back with a vengeance, nothing like a bit of accidental supercropping lol.
