Speaking out when someone is unfairly banned is totally throwing bratty tantrums!! omg!. I really don't care if I get on the staff bad side or not. They don't do anything for me, they aren't the ones posting in my journal with help when I need it. It's the community who makes this place worthwhile. Definitely not power tripping mods who ban people for no reason.


I don't even know gloomshade nor have I ever talked to the guy before today. I just hate to see people get banned for bullshit. The same way everyone in the community should hate to see fellow posters getting banned for doing nothing wrong. How the hell does a community that grows cannabis and talks about how it's an injustice for it to be illegal turn around and do such bullshit things and then have people like you condone it. Baffles me.

Gloom did you or did you not try to dicourage people from buying GNs new light by accusing them of overcharging for a product you have not seen or know the exact specs and features? Your ignoring the reason this all started,it's nothing to do with freedoms of speach you flamed out on one of are vendors.

Saying something is not worth the price is not flaming nor is it trying to get people to not buy the product. It is his opinion and he is entitled to it. Aren't you supposed to post your opinion on forums? I mean you just shared your opinion that you thought he was flaming because he thought a product is not worth the price. How do you not even realize how silly it is to ban someone because they don't champion a product like you do. Does GN run this forum? are you all shills? why does everyone have to hype up gn or they get banned?

It makes no sense. A lot of us think those lights not worth the price. I definitely think the light is not worth the price and I hardly know anything about it. Even if I was Bill Gates I still wouldn't buy the light. I'd get something that has more watts and cost half the price and be super happy.

I see both sides making valid points, honestly. Neutral milk hotel, and I've never interacted with gloom or fre before today, I was just browsing the led thread at the time things went awry. I have seen mods be disrespectful to members before but I don't pass judgement because I don't know what their histories are or past problems have been.

I may not have posted in the threads earlier this evening,but I was present and read all posts.the site was very active (that's a good thing)was lots of different opinions (that's a good thing) maybe 1 or 2 came over as making too aggressive a point,or being too sensitive.
its the tinternet,don't get worked up over it.put the kettle on roll one,and come back in half an hour.you just might see things slightly different then.

I did not. I participated in a conversation based on some predictions of a new product coming out. I stated some personal judgements and opinions about the price point of the new product, in relation to the assumption that the components likely come from the same chinese factories as every other LED on the market. The entire thread was based on conjecture, assumptions and rumours. I did not say GN are shit, they're rip offs dont buy them, i said I hope they are awesome.

I'm finding it really difficult not to ACTUALLY DIVULGE into the sort of unproductive comments and language that would be ACTUAL bannable offenses on most forums.

I don't really like this place any more anyways...So you can all slap yourselves on the back and tell each other how awesome you are, I hope your vendors are paying you a bit extra for your heroic championing. Don't forget to ban the next guy that says 'Gee that seems expensive' about some sponsors product.

If you could direct me specifically to the post/sentence/words that you consider flaming...I think that would be really beneficial.

To me, and basically anyone who reads through the threads in question...It really looks like I've been banned for disagreeing...And...there were also several other posters who seemed to share my sentiments....I wasn't even mad or argumentative at all... I thought i was just having a chat with some bros, woke up the next morning banned, I was like wtf... Re-read through the threads, I was still like wtf.... And even now with people like you telling me i deserved to get banned and i should go away...I'm still like wtf...

I mean obviously you gotta stay the course, all the mods gotta band together and agree with each other and stay the course... But like... People are intelligent... Sorry to see you go man. It really sucks it seems like some people just find it hard to be rational. I enjoyed your posts and I actually agreed with a lot of what you said earlier in that thread. Just want you to know that not all of us are sheep. Though I'm going to stfu now before I get banned for standing up for whats right.
