Hey guys, sorry I haven't updated in a while. Unfortunately this grow is going to get scrapped 
DWC is just not an option for me through these warmer months, I'm struggling to keep it below 24 degrees (res temps). Instead of getting too down about the situation I've decided to make plans for a replacement grow which I'll set up by this time next week.
I plan to switch back to soil for the remainder of the warm weather, once we hit autumn/winter I may get the DWC buckets going again.
These are my current plans for the new grow:
1.2m tent, 4 plants in 15L airpots, soil, organic nutes, 2x GNms006 for veg and then add my 600W HPS for some extra flower power.
I may have a fiddle with the details like amount of plants after I ask around but that's what I have in mind, would you guys like to see 4 MoonStones? 4 Stone Dragons? 2 of each? Let me know so I can make it happen.

Just a suggestion. You could throw some ice in the bucket, change the res every 2-3 days, it will keep it from going bad.
Yes of course, I've been freezing water bottles and using that to control it but it's literally 5/6 times a day and I don't want the rest of my summer to be restricted! Also nutes get a bit costly changing the res that often! I always appreciate suggestions though, always people looking out for you on AFN

Hey Pal!
Don't scrap it unless they are toast. I know it gets discouraging, but my res never got below 24c (75f) and averaged 77-82F every day and I ran nearly 1400 ppm of nutes during the last month before flushing.. No funk, no fungus. I used Dutch Master Zone at the aggressive rate and peroxided the hydroton about once a month. Just squirted it under the plant, let it set a few minutes, then flushed it into the res with RO water. Not one speck of fungus and the bucket was root packed. Cleaning the bucket was not going to happen with that plant for the last 2 months, so I just kept it dosed and bubbled the hell out of it to keep it aerated.
Warmer months? I live in south Texas. How much warmer can it get?
When I chopped Miz Dubya, it was 95F outside and the AC stays at 78F inside.
You CAN grow DWC in higher res temps with the appropriate precautions and good oxygenation! Keep the tent clean. Remember, the spore comes in with you and anything you bring into the work area. PM me if you like.

Your experience with high temps is great info! I use to panic if temps got over 70f!
Tx buddy, thanks for that response. I do appreciate where you are coming from and usually I'd be telling people the same thing - don't give up! This is however the very first plant I've had to chop down, and it did make me rather unhappy.
I know it would be possible to keep her going but for all the money/effort I'd have to put in I wouldn't get back reward enough. As well as that, I do enjoy organic soil growing as that's where I started out, I feel I can cut my losses this time as she is still quite small and get a soil grow completed with a better result. I find growing in soil very relaxing and laid back as a grow style - exactly what I want for summer

At some point I will Kip, I have a grower friend in real life who uses coco with great success and seen many on site. The only reserve I have about coco is how fast it dries out, and that it really needs PH and EC control to be effective like hydro. I could be wrong on this but I like the simplicity of using a light mix soil which buffers the PH for me. I just feel like I need a couple of relaxed grows since I haven't really stopped growing since my first attempt

Definitely not saying no to dwc and coco, I love experimenting so chances are over the coming months/years I will be rocking all the methods

I understand your points bro. The PH and EC thing is a pain to start but after a couple of grows, you know what the EC will be, knowing when to boost or drop if if needed. The pots, you use Airpots, so say a 10L with a big enough plant for a 1L/per day, sometimes more, my White Nightamre for example likes less but more frequent. Do the lift test as soil, tbh I have noticed no more quicker drying out times like soil?
