This is a powerful photo from a photoperiod to Auto roll...those girls are sisters.. exactly the same age.. around 8 weeks..

The Auto is almost finished..the photoperiod is just prepistilate...

Made me Think....if we can grow perfectly formed trichomes in just 8 weeks.....why Wait..... :crying: ...

@Enigma :pass: ..I think humans hunt traits automatically.. anyone can do it..a little training hones it in.

If you have kids..siblings.. parents and you can see family resembles there..like..she looks like her mammy...or she's got her daddy's stick out ears..you are assessing genetic traits without even thinking about it..and it's exactly the same with crosses...:headbang:

This one is the prettiest colour way on the patio ATM...she gets my eye every morning..:photog:.. there is a blacker one..just not as photogenic..

There are 5 or so in the right hand pot...:headbang:..3 or 4 showing the trait in the left...so..maybe 10% of the grow.

If you want to Increase the trait...you simply breed ONLY Black trait to Black trait ..from there...:dragon2:..

The finesse is..when the black leaf trait is in Dominance...most of them will be black leafed or partially black leafed..when they Finish.....so you breed the ones that Black up First..ignore the rest..:pass:...for the fullest colour...

See the pot on the right..soil level..there is a Turned fan leaf..and you see how there are deep Red veins...?...that is the Royal Blood line..Black Dragon identifying trait... :dragon2: ..

IMG_4469~2.JPG

Watching it on my current grow...just above my finger..

This is one of my current grows that I think are DC dominant..so I'm counting her DC traits off to myself..

More than 5 finger leaf..:greencheck:..

Horse shoe stem join..:greencheck:..

Royal blood line veins..:greencheck:..

Long leaf stem (wrists..) with fingers pointing down..:greencheck:..

Man hands..:greencheck:

Purple Black leaf..:greencheck:..

Slightly taller than the surrounding phenos..:greencheck:

She Adds up to a good Deep Chunk/Black dominant girl...:dragon2:..for now....:headbang:

Another favourite photo... :photog: ..

The blackest short cross in the centre of the pot is typical JEM..stature..leaves pointing up..with Black Dragon dominant leaf colour..red veins on the back of leaf...
(Remember JEM is an Original Auto..they were 12 inch 8 week finishers at the time..)

And..the taller girl is DC dominant..height..the length of her wrists..the way they hang like a broody chicken...But..the Bronze tint to it's black leaf colour Only belongs to JEM...:headbang:..

Simple when you know how..:pass:... Pedigree..I Know All of the Ancestors..so I can identify them when they pop up. Breeding Tools.

Just on stature and the way she holds her leaves..you can See the Little Black pheno from the post above..on the right pot

And..stature again..the Left pot...

IMG_4531~2.JPG

I can see by the way the leaves drape I have similar pheno to the taller girl in the post above....And...

This one..on the right...which was the Blue print at the time for what I wanted out of the Black Dragon cross..big..square headed..and Black leafed trait.. :dragon2:..

She's the one just centre right..:yeah:..I know her...

One of my favourite traits with Deep Chunk when I added her in was she curls the edges of the top fans with a crust of under leaf trics...and I think I'm starting to see that occurring...:headbang:..none of the others had this trait..but if it is...another :greencheck:..on the list that says DC dominant.

IMG_4525~2.JPG

Look at these two.. especially the Pink on the Left...look at the very top fans..and they look like they are turning in..twisting...that is what I'm Watching...:yeah:..

IMG_4519~2.JPG

I'm happy at this point to say...I've got a pot of DC dominants in the left pot..and a set of JEM dominants in the right....

They are all siblings..just different selections..:headbang:
