Today is 4th Jan...so I need a photo from a 2 weeks ago..22nd December..

And..if you didn't know her... you'd not really suspect the black leaf trait was there.....I was Expecting it...

Outdoor conditions have been absolutely perfect for Flushing the trait out... except..I was expecting her to show signs faster.

So.. there's your start.... Black leaf trait...but not a Strong one..(depth and partial colour up.. despite perfect conditions)...

When you know the depth and total coverage that went in....more like the left hand side of the family..the Partials..than the two on the bottom right....

I've known since last winter that my Colours were coming into dominance...made the cross spring/summer...then Test them on my cold period grow..see what I can flush out...

Now the Love and Awe bit... ... Every seed holds a Dream...

Every seed holds the cross you have on the Face of it...and her complete genetic history...... parents..grand parents..great grand parents..they are all inside that tiny little seed...

And... everything inside of that genetic pool is available to me as a breeder...if I know Who I'm looking for.

In tightfisted Gardener terms.

I buy a Pink flowered geranium.. we'll call her Rosie.... ...this is the Face of the cross....what she is now.

Her Mother was a White flower...her father was a Red flower.

I bought Rosie...but with a little breeding jiggery-pokery...I can pull both the Mother white and the father Red and hybrid them out to 90% of the original genetics.

You can roll a cross Backwards to find something you want..as well as roll it Forward...so a greedy gardener gets minimum 3 crosses out of 1 purchase..

Can you see what I removed from the pots...?...just the two Frogs....

Frog is a working name for a trait I have found that I want to hybrid/stabilise out.

And there is not a good one in those two pots.....all a learning curve...

The fact that I can't identify the trait in the F7 generation where the Dragon/JEM are rising...when the trait was dominant in the F2 generation..in the white and pink phenos means I need to eliminate the Colour..

So..I started a White parent Only cross..that is now at F2...I should be able to see a better White count in that cross now.. they are germinating now.

My cold season is as important for rooting out coloured phenos...as rooting out pure green leafed phenos that refuse to colour...

And...while we are all being distracted by the 50 shades of Black......and Fat Headed Beauty Queens...fat headed girls are my absolute favourite..I can gaze at them for hours...

But what about that smaller...limey leaf coloured girl...on the left side of the left pot...What's she about....?...

Everything is as equal or as close to equal on outdoor as you can get...so why is she that colour size.......


Well..I did say...the Pinks show first.. fastest showing..fastest finish.. smaller the girl..could possibly be JEM..she was renown for limey yellows..
But the leaves don't look JEM..and she's stunningly pink budded..so I have her pegged as the ALF #5 NL dominant cross showing her head...

So..JEM..Deep Chunk..and Giggle Juice..all available in 2 pots..if I want to Play with them...

Current Mossys ALF#6 .

Most people know what ALF is...and the Number says how many Afghan/kush dominants are contained within it.




ALF #4.. Black Dragon escaped the Cave and landed in the hands of the Dragon Med Team @F4 ...cough..cough..and they were asked to add either an Afghan dominant or a Kush dominant to her...and call her something Dragon..so we could follow her Pedigree.

Full Duplex added Bubba Kush..so that becomes Full Duplexs ALF #5..

Stone added Jack 47..Stone Dragon..which became Stones ALF#5..

I added Northern Lights..Mossys ALF#5..

They all had 5 x A/K dominant crosses in...but by different breeders for the 5th cross......
