Simple cross. Last season I bought seed for a proposed cross.

My season went into heat dome..I got total germ fail on the ones I wanted.

I got 1 germ out of freebies. Donkey Dick..I think..Sati Dom......but hubby likes Satis.

I had males of mine ..pollenated just a couple of buds on it.

Tested hubby on the bud..he liked it..so I germed them...... absolutely no breeding plan in mind..just trying to make a bit value back from my outlay...

As much of a Surprise as the DC cross intensifying all of my colours out to grand magnificence.......those NL Bitches in the post above Killed all of my colours.... strangled..suffocated...and all consumed by a storming NL dominance and gone..with nary a fart..eaten.

I didn't panic.. genetics are constantly moving..but I'm sure I can remember hearing 4 generations to come in..4 generations to go out..

So I took all the NL crosses through to F8 looking... ...not a bloody sign..

The Black Dragon did exactly what I hoped really...it took the NL over to Auto and produced an exact Auto of her...Not a sign of Black Dragon in her.... colour resistant leaves and almost totally white..or slight pink... even on my winter.

Good pain killer..I kept her on the patio as photoperiod for a good few years as my med banker.

But..I had 3 individual crosses out of her..mass rolled to See what was in them.. I didn't find the incense pheno I wanted..and I found phenos that I didn't like..acid vomit..baby poo.. Hmmmmmmm..

...got bored...threw all the crosses back into the pot of genetics......and hit them with a Kush Auto...to flush the colours back up.

White as white huh...?..

Throwing the Kush in didn't flush the Dragon bud and leaf colour.....yet...it magnified the bloody NL Pinks.. ..the one direction I didn't want to go...but I was literally 50-50% pinks and whites...for the first few generational rolls..

Nothing I particularly wanted hybridised out..mass germ.. genetic Shuffle..see what comes out.....then.. around F4.. little clues..

I started to see a small fast pheno that went over a couple of weeks before the full pot... again..with the multi pots. things like that stand out more.. comparison to the rest of them..

IMO..JEM..or one of the other Original Autos by size and finish time..so I was expecting her rising.......

Then around F5-F6...winter grow...there we go...colours rising....

My outdoor winter grows are invaluable for the colours......cold indoor grow room and dropping the water PH down 0.5 should induce it under lights....

F7-F8.......popped...the colours are more dominant..and cover more of the plants.. Colours Rising...

Afternoon @Enigma ..you are Welcome......I know there are a few Dragon revivals going on.... genetics up to Black Dragon..

Currently...I did a quick count up...I'm about 17 generations away from there......and Who pops up..?.... genetics are absolutely fascinating..


And...think about this tightfistedness...I'm still working with genetics that were added 20 years ago........I like value for money...

The simple cross..the one on the right is the mother...and she has an unusual body arrangement...bottom half body..top half all neck... .. guessing that's why she got the DD name..

I've put nowt in mine with that body balance...so all I've got to watch the new germs for..is elongated necks......and I'll know I have her..

(I'll have also added 40 plus generations of outdoor growing hardiness in there..using my males....)

No plans for her..if I don't Get Sati effects...how on earth would I know if I made a good one..or a bad one..?....

I've done a quick Google, DD is meant to be pretty dominant/consistent in shape, D&Balls shape 70 ind/30 sat I don't know how true as not much was really known on original lineage. Your husband doesn't mind sat does he? Could always do a % mixed into your know med to test effects?

I am glad to hear a few people working on trying to bring back Black Dragon, it'll be great to see, I guess everyone will have a slightly different approach.

30 kids in a class room get given the same assignment, the all hand up slightly different work

17 gens is a long way but also kinda not far if that's where half the genetics came from, purple has to be ressessive, the recombination has to pop up eventually. So happy to see it and learn kinda first hand

I've thought about it quite a bit and Bobby's Widow X Anvil would be my best guess as ~ 1:300 of the F5 Anvil came out black on black for myself to start as a base from when we first chatted
