Is there a way to modify the system so you get some runoff?

That sounds like a situation that the plant is just surviving through, but not really ideal lol…

Originally I heard guys flushing but then it seemed to go the other no flush so I don’t know. If you want to get runnoff you have to remove the pot from autopot tray and flush over sink or something or have shop vac ready in tray cause what ever you put in the top is coming out the bottom and the tray only holds a liter maybe. I believe it’s either no flush or regular flushes weekly to beat that. I believe if you try to do just a random flushing your going to have to put lots of gallons through the pot to get rid of the salt buildup from the top layer

So….the moral of the story is….

When using the autopots…it’s extra important not to over feed…since the salts you’re putting in, stay.

Yeah I agree but the problem is that autopotumos guy is preaching high EC 1.6 to start in seeds he grows big plants so everyone listens to him whether it's right or not.

Most of these nutrient lines feed schedules are designed for a drain to waste system. If that’s not happening, you should actually lower your feed strength to account for it….
I did by half

i was thinking the same thing just now, i was calling coco the bastard child of DWC. No theres no runoff, it feeds from the bottom using coco like a wick.

I’ll sit down in a bit and write out my feed schedule. Essentially, I top out at 2ml per liter of connoisseur… plus additives. I don’t find the need to be obsessed with measuring ec… ph falls right where it’s supposed to be, as long as there’s no non-AN products in the mix.

Word to the wise…connoisseur is strong, and WILL burn plants if you push it to far.

Also, and this is my personal grow style… but have you thought about increasing the amount of plants, instead of doing a couple big ones? I fit 8 plants, in one gallon pots in a 2x4 tent…. The goal is two ounces harvest per plant….although I usually get 3+. Do the math, and it’s a great harvest of a variety of strains. Plus, it’s not a big deal if a plant under performs. Just some food for thought….
I cant grow more than 2 mature and 2 young. State law.

Its tough, I had to elevate the auto pot over a bucket, and it took all day to get that flushed

I believe your going to want to do either regular flushes once a week or no flush at all ever. I think the guys doing good with autopost like autopotomus do not flush ever. This way your not flushing concentrated salts to the bottom

This is correct. This is where i was pulling from. Plus, other members had encouraged me to continue high EC as long as there wasn’t signs of lockout.

I’ve noticed, though, autopotamus stunts a lot of his plants. It seems to be luck at the draw which ones can take it and which ones can’t.

Certain ones will stunt if given too much N, early in life. And they don’t really recover… in worst cases, you get a stick with six buds on it…
