I'm not sure how to clean a grinder otherwise. My rule of thumb for decarb is 250f for 29 minutes. Lecithin helps with absorption too. I add it to my butter and oil.

Cool. Yeah, I did a lot of reading up on info.
My decarb was 35 minutes or so, at 105 C = about 230 F or so.

Couldn't find non-expensive powdered lecithin for ages.
Just found some as I was testing the batch.
Will add before next time I use it.

Review: not super strong, but it works!
Did 5 g = 1 tsp total, in two 1/2 tsp shots, 90 minutes apart.
Effect lasts ... well it's 8 hours later, and it's still around, coming off.

See what it's like when I add the lecithin for next time.

Also kept the oil soaked grinds for chai.

thanks DK, my grinder needs cleaning 2

@Dudeski and @trailanimal -- I'm actually thinking of isopropyl or something like high % ethanol for the next round.
Just a bit concerned about the safety... and ... I don't do alcohol, so want to make sure that it's really clean at the end.

And you've just reminded me that my trichome covered grinder is still sitting in the fridge! haha!

So... should give a bit of a coconut oil review.

One noticeable quality is ... it is somewhat of an aphrodisiac...
Yup, I said it. Often the claim, but yeah, it is.... tee hee hee...
I'll let you fill in your own details.

Sets in after maybe 1 hr, but more noticeable after 2 hrs.
Friendly, talkative, mellow, fun, playful, joking, creative ideas and silliness.
After a bit more, maybe 3 or 4 hrs, great with nature.
Had some nice walks in the mountains with friends.
A deeper body feel sets in after 4 hrs or so.
Deep relaxation, but still plenty of energy.
Like the kind of groove or zone when doing yoga or dancing.
In the moment, physically.
Continues, slowly easing off, effects still around 12 hrs later.
But during maybe hr 8-12 slowly wanting to chill out.
Watch a movie (or three...), cuddle on the couch, hee hee.

Have found a better dosage of a big teaspoon, almost two.
Or, one teaspoon of the coconut oil and another of the grinds.
I've been putting it in my coffee in the morning.
Which further adds the uplift at the start.
Was slightly weaker than expected,
but I guess some loss of cannabinoids during the process.

Quite glad with the result overall. First successful oil making effort.
Last time was ... 20 yrs ago, haha, with butter.
No idea what I was doing. Made horrible tasting butter for cookies.
Though, in those days, used to smoke so much I won't notice a nasty cookie or two.

Next time, maybe either isopropyl alcohol or oil again.
For oil, may try ghee (clarified butter) or coconut again.
I will do several batches, prob one for each strain, and have seven strains.
Or may combine some strains, and leave some herb for smoking.

Let's see. In about ... 6 weeks, I'm guessing....

Thank you! Wasn't that much hard work, more like lots of little high-risk tasks.
My present batch inside under lights is going to be so much better!!!!!
Not just the yield will be much more, have a nice range of diff THC:CBD ratios to play with.
