Trying my first too soil mix

I've been gone for about a week tending to my retirement property but before I left I put her back to 18/6 and gave her some god water, haven't checked yet but she was pretty burnt before, and Yes Sir it is a learning lesson but don't think I'll get anything off her..

Ok A4 what should I do to correct the K def?

Liquid kelp is an easy quick addition or any form of potash. You can probably pick some organic potash up at your local box store. Liquid kelp you would probably have to order unless you live near a grow store and don't mind going in. I tend to stay away from all grow/hyrdo stores considering the cops love to get customers tag numbers and run them for further investigation. Amazon is your friend, lol!

It looked to me like she just needed a good heavy watering to clear out some of the N and you would be fine. If it were me, and that is typically how I like to make recommendations, I wouldn't add anything except good rain water. Enough to flush some build up of N out and let her ride. She looked damn healthy except for just a little too much nutrients. You never know right now, you may have enough K in there but the excess N is keeping it locked out. Even in organics, you can still have lockout of nutrients.

Those lower fan leaves are going to be the first thing to go early on so don't worry too much about them. It is almost always certain you are going to loose them early on and it isn't a big deal so long as it doesn't spread up the plant. I pick several off every week that are close to dead. The one thing I recommend to all fairly new growers, don't chase deficiencies on the first few plants. It winds up biting you in the ass. If it gets bad, then make some corrections but don't worry about a few leaves here or there. Over compensating will kill her quicker than anything.

Best of luck with her DW!

I've already tried just water, she's burnt way up the plant, too embarrassed to provide pictures but since someone may learn (Not What to Do ) I will. Give me a day or two to have my schedule lessen a little, just way to busy right now.

Well I now know for next time as not to chase def's, and just as you stated it definitely got worse as I tried to correct it, sometimes I'm my own worst enemy. I have risen to a level of incompetency with my growing knowledge and lack of experience, but I have faith that everything will work out in the end, and this plant is not the end by any means.

Now that summer is upon us, I will not grow again until fall when the outside temps are more favorable for cabinet growing,
This leads me to another question, should I just scrap this soil and start again with another reciepe as cost really isn't an issue or should I just try to amend this soil thru testing, either way it appears to be about the same cost, but I would really like to try my hand at your soil if that reciepe is available :)

Ah, it isn't important. I didn't realize it had gone south that quickly. Hey, at our age it is all for fun anyways huh? It is more my hobby than anything. The wonderful thing about soil is, it is a challenge to get right. Anyone can mix up bottles and pour in water, where is the fun in that? To me it is the difference in buying the corvette and building one frame off.

I believe you will find a little message from me, hopefully it helps.

Ah bud she went south very quickly, happened when the site went down, no biggie though as I enjoy the challenge. Kind of funny though as the peppers, green beans, lettuce and maters are enjoying the soil so far, so go figure... Be good Brother and I'm glad your back

Hey Just Cheking back on how things are !
