Indoor Upgrading to new setup need advice

im confused
per grow not per plant thats all... it was sticky saying 16oz per plant not per grow as stated...
3 of em are between 14-17oz. 2 of em r between 6 1/2-9oz. this pic was snapped 3 weeks b4 harvest. pictures are deceiving also they dont give enough depth. funny thing is, is that i was running 2-1,000w baddass ballasts with sunmaster high output hps bulbs and i only ran them the whole at 750w each the whole way through flower. i yielded about 4lbs. at 1,500w that more than a gram per watt. so take it how u wanna take it. also to put the icing on ur cake nay sayers, they were done only in 10 gallon smart pots. im not gonna sit here and argue about lame gear as well as defend my yields. i could give a care less about what ne lame ass wants to bicker about. the only people who i actually care who likes my tree; is my patients, not some fanboy that prolly cant even grow an imagination. :cry: this is cause i have much pitty 4 shit talkers. bonesThese are your 1lb plants?

Your attitude is so in your face ...why is that? Sounds more like you are defending everything you have instead of trying to have a constructive thread about a guy who wants to buy a tent and a couple lights...HPS or LED.
And if you keep on with calling other members "lame ass", "shit talkers" you'll be packing your "lame" gear up and finding a new kiddy pool to play in, because your type are not needed at AFN. If you can't be positive and helpfull then drag your lame ass...

Ok so the comparison is 2 1000w vs...? I'm a little lost I mean if you want 16oz per grow then you can grow any assortment of lights and plants as you see fit. But if we are talking two rooms identical in size, lets say a 6X6 and you have 2 1000's and I have 2 LED lets say a Pen 336.
Your saying If I grew lets say Auto Mazar and your grew her Photo counter part your yield using only 2 plants each will be higher than mine right?
Ok what if I gave your roughly 25 days of veg and you are required to flower at the same time my Auto's do. You can have your 5gal soil, I'll use a 5 gal DWC. Now with all those factors and whatever nutes you like your saying you'll out yield me pound for pound? Probably.
But my electricity bill will be 1/4th of yours with MAYBE only a few Ounces lost. Js, I'm not knocking HPS by any means. Hell for years All I used was HPS and I have grown very successfully with them. But I think LED demand a little more respect now that 2013 has come. Hell in the 30+ years Horticulture has hit the scene hard HID has barely evolved and are still using archaic technology. Burning a bulb that's not even meant for the ballast that commands it. Ever wonder why so much heat is produced? Ever wonder why you have to buy a new bulb every grow or the Intensity slips 30% every few weeks there after? Once again not knocking your grow or style I think that the kiddy pool was a awesome grow. to add to that if you yielded what you stated then that's awesome bro. But if I can match you in a 3x3 Grow cab with a LED that cost me 20 bucks a month to run.... Well at least we both got 16 oz! :dance:

1000 watt in a 5x5 will Definitely get you your pound
I've never run LED's so I couldn't point you in the right direction there, but with with the correct amount of plants, a little training and 1000 watts of MH/HPS in a 5x5 tent a pound is pretty much guaranteed.
I agree, HID's aren't the most efficient in the world, but they definitely Get The Job Done!

Hey konehead, I would rock the 5x5 gorilla grow tent with dual 600w mh/hps with 6 inch fan for lights and one more to pull air out hooked to a carbon filter. 600's imo, have just as good coverage as the 1000's without the heat, plus you could get em closer to the plants than a 1000watter. That is what I would do, but you will have to make your own decision. 3gal pots minimum to boot. Air pots are nice(havent used em,(watering and flushing would be a bitch imo.) But i lean more towards the taller 3-4 gallon pots, due to the long tap root on autos. This is the setup I am eventually going to. Plus you could rock both LED's in with it to have a great spectrum for veg and bloom!! Best of both worlds.
It sure doesn't look like thos plants are going to yield no ware near a pound each,thats just my opinion.
