Planning on using Remo nutes for my first autopots grow and one of the products is VeloKelp which has kelp in it and Remo said that can result in a film and while not significant it was suggested that I do something about like adding H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide). Remo is actually currently testing autopots inhouse now.

I know some of you add in Hydroguard to the autopot res. Not sure if that would do what I need, but apparently it's not available in Canada.

There are options like don't use the VeloKelp but I'd like to try it even if I kill some of the micro bacterial matter with H2O2.

What suggestions do others have on this?

There's also "ATA Clean" that's used for the same purpose, you just need few drops in you res to keep it from clogging. But know that AutoPots aren't designed for organic nutes, they'll just clog up the whole darn thing.

I can't use the nutes i normally use in my AutoPots as they just clog it up so i keep them for when i'm hand watering etc or using a different system but might need to try a cleaner as i normally pull through at least 2L daily from my pipes from the res which is only a 50L tub which i fill upto 35-40L just to be safe as it's a flexi tub i use

Any chance a clear inline filter would help with this problem? give the heavy stuff a place to lay and give a viewing point to monitor.

I use pool shock. 26 grams to 1 gallon of water is the stock solution. Then 2 ml per gal of stock solution in my reservoir. Works well.
