I was going to build a wooden grow tent but I am uncertain regarding the size. Probably I will go for a 3x3 and 6 feet high. I bought Northern Lights Autoflower from Nirvanashop and intend to grow them in 5 gallon Smart Pots. My question is: how many plants should I grow? And do you think that 450w will be enough for both veg and flower?

5 gallon pots might be a bit much in a 3x3 tent. 1 of these would be fine for veg, but for best results in flower, I'd run 2 of them.

5 gallon pots might be a bit much in a 3x3 tent. 1 of these would be fine for veg, but for best results in flower, I'd run 2 of them.

Will plants be damaged if I use the 5 gallon pots or is it just waste of space and soil? Diameter of pots is 30cm and was going to put 4 in the tent.

I grew a couple of northern lights auto from Royal Queen seeds in five gallon airpots a picture is worth a bunch of words. A 3X3 is a good size for a 450 watt light

WOW! That's encouraging! Can I ask you what type of soil and nutrients you used? And how long was the light schedule? 18/6 or 12/12?

I run my lights 24/7 on all my grows. Ruderalis genetics do best under 24 hours of light. The environment is constantly the same so no stress. People seem to think autos need a rest well they do not they need energy to grow as big as possible. I use an array of advanced nutrients sensi A/B voo doo nirvana rhinoskin general organics cal mag sensizym big bud and overdrive bud factor X. But I am switching over to BLUE PLANET nutrients and hopefully phasing out A/N they are just getting to expensive IMO so time to try other nutes. Now if I do not get the results I hope for I will switch back to A/N and bite the bullet on the cost. Dr Hornby started A/N back in the nineties he is highly involved with Blue planet nutrients they say they source all there material from Israel Germany and North America. They do not buy anything from China they supposedly have some of the cleanest very little salt in there nutes and high chelating action to help promote huge arse growth. I use nothing but pro mix HP or sunshine mix#4 for a growing medium and lots of air movement. I also run a litle over 1700 true watts of led in a 4X8 tent with three different spectrums mixed in I use three apollo 6 fixtures three 300 watt cheap arse chnese leds and a 1200 watt COB actual draw 660 watts the COB is a WICKED light. Another reason I run 24/7 is thses lights burn out quick when using a timer shutting them off an on twice a day is not good for the less expensive led lights. I have been running the same lights for a year and a half almost and not one light problem nothing has burnt out so there is something to turning them off an on and longevity. That is why I love Autos. Mephistos white triangle is some of the heaviest pot I have ever smoked and I am 52 years old I grew that 24/7 blue cheese auto is just bloODY UNREAL it puts you to sleep np have a great day

Hey @Dazed ....I know there hasn't been much activity on this thread in a long time, but I'm setting up a grow in a 2x4x6 tent.. Got a 450w Vipar LED. I noticed on this thread you said you had some great results with VIPAR... Just wondering if you had a journal with that light so I could see what your grew with the vipar and results?
