WAS THIS A BAD IDEA??

No guide that I have seen. I go plant by plant as needed. But generally the first 3 spouts off each limb from the base on the first 3 or 4 nodes. I'l elaborate more later with pics from my journal

Dan bro I'm so sorry I just got around to this.. here's an example of a plant just trimmed in flower

And here's one later flower... see how the upper buds are all dense? The lower stuff being cut away from what I have seen takes away some of the flowering potential from the tops where the nice fat dense buds grow.

Also here's a link to one of my recent journals... most of not all of the plants you see in here have had leaves trimmed from a young age. All had lead tucking pretty much and the lowers trimmed the way I described. You'll hear a million different opinions just let the evidence decide what you do and don't want to do. Definitely play around a bit with it. These are not fragile little autos waiting to be stunted or killed off at anything out of the ordinary lol...
