Water issue

Sooo, I don't need to be concerned with this opinion which is what got me coming here?

Coco For Cannabis EC Run-off Guidelines:

If Run-off EC is:(Compared to inflow) Status Action
Lower than inflow EC Anomaly Not a problem. Should self-correct.
Within +200* Ideal Monitor EC twice weekly
+200 to +300 Acceptable Monitor EC daily, consider increasing fertigation frequency
+300 to +400 Caution Increase fertigation frequency and/or Increase quantity of run-off.
+400 or Higher Danger Consider flushing: See “When and How to Flush”

One of those conflicting statements out there is that they (CFC) talk about flushing and others say never flush coco.
Fertigate every day to 20% runoff vs let it be almost dry b4 watering

Looks like you've been given a load of confusing info ... I don't tink i've seen the word "fertigate" at AFN in 10 years  .. I googled it .. sounds legit!

I agree with watering to run off to rid any potential salt buildup from chem nutes drying in your medium (coco)
I've never checked the run off EC, nor run off PH.

There's a coco section here with loads of good tips from growers.
https://autoflower.net/forums/forums/discussion-growing-with-coco-coir.244/

There's a thread with info from canna relating to their coco .. and plenty of journals and guides!

Hopefully this will help get the best out of your coco grow.
I abandoned coco a while ago for a more simplistic, less time consuming affair!

Good luck with the grow!

Great thing about coco is if its totally F'd, you flush it out and start again. Coco has issues with staying hydrated tho, it's a never let completely dry type of thing. Have a run going now, just under 4 weeks, fed every day to runoff, which is then discarded.
(That requires about 250ml of water/feed at this time. Will be almost a gallon each)

I run an odd nutrient line, my nutrients are carried with a calcium molecule instead of salt, so running in coco is a little different for me currently as the pH where things are available shifts.
But, its critical I remain in the available range for my line.
Salt based nute lines are available from 5.8 to around 6.2.

@blue ya know, I probably picked up "fertigate" from one of the "master growers" over at youtube who's info is 7-10 years old.
I had decided to go coco because-at least to me- it seemed simple and I could get a lineup of nutes designed to work with. My next grow I'm gonna try side x side with the coco grow and gp medi-one. Kind of getting more interested in "natural" while keeping it simple.
Thank you both so much for your help!

You're welcome buddy! :D

Take a look at Biotabs if you're interested in going natural and keeping it simple. It's like organics ... without the necessary knowledge of how to make a good soil.
Saves me about 100 hours a grow  ...
Autopots aswell ... If you can get a plant to 20 days and it looks good, an autopot can take care of the rest! :D

For me .. Coco will almost certainly yeild better under optimum conditions and care .... but ... the extra time i spend mixing nutes and checking EC and PH ... Just doesn't stack up!

So if you have the time and desire - Coco can work wonders! ... But if you really can't be bothered with all that ... Soil and autopots with biotbabs and some minimal extras will get great results.
I've not used a meter of any kind in about 6 months .. maybe a year!

Which ever way you go - have fun! :D There'll be plenty of people here to help along the way!

I grow both ways, outside I wanna sit and watch the girls grow while I'm bbq ing, indoor I push. Outdoor is soil with an ammendment or two, and a check here and there. Indoor, while I push, it's with the oddball nute line, so I can remain as "organic" as possible.
One of the greatest things about growing cannabis with friends is we all do it differently, some things will work for me that won't work for you and vice versa. You'll probably try a bunch of different setups, until you've got it dialed in "your way".

I've been at this a fair bit, and still learning and tweaking here and there, figuring this is a life long learning experience.

Thanks, I'll look into the biotabs. I think before I would want to switch over to full hydro, I need to get some full grows under my belt. My first grow I think is a bit behind schedule cause I manifolded too early but now they're growing bazonkas and I'm getting lost. Need to update my journal.

My situation is I live in a motorhome- cramped spaces, and I'm parked at a dirt race track- might have some issues with folks if I grew outside. I don't think the plants would be too thrilled with the alcohol, gas, oil race fuel fumes.
One of the things I'm seeing is that you have to take some advice with a grain of salt because there are so many ways of doing this as well as combinations of lights, nutes, medium.
Funny, I was just thinking about your last statement and a lot of the so called "masters" out there. I've been working with wood for about 50 years now and hopefully I still learn something new everyday. I wouldn't even think about calling myself a "master". To me that is something that is bestowed on you by your peers.

I'm an old motorcycle drag racer... I love the smell of alcohol.

Somewhere (not on the site) I read about a guy in a 5th wheel that had a very cool built in grow setup.
