Live Stoner Chat What weight would 6zips be ?

So my metric friends what's the slang you use?

I was just telling my son about how we did that with fingers way back when I was a teen. he wont believe me so now I have proof. LOLOL.

We call eighths - "8-tracks" and quarters- "Quats" and ounces - "Oh-Zers"

6 zips = just enough for a weekend with Snoop Dogg or at any Kennedy house party lol.

When I was growing up (child of the 80's), we had quarters (quarter oz.), half bags (half oz.), and QP's (Quarter pound). I have no idea why these were the denominations that were traded mostly but they were. When the high grade came to town eventually it screwed everything up because people started selling 8th's and calling them halfs for half a quarter. From then on you had to ask when someone said a half, half an ounce or half a quarter? That pissed me off to no end. I haven't bought smoke regularly in so long I have no idea what they are calling shit in my neck o the woods anymore.
I call it all, homegrown!

Sorry Coco, that was me that used zips for ounces! I thought I'd replied but that's what you happens with a total stoner like me :P

A "Henry" is an eighth in my area based on mockney rhyming slang I suppose :) Henry VIII = famous King in the UK, just so nobody has to ask.

That sounds confusing as shit. I'd be like "I got $100 give me what you got"

It's a joke in the uk for weed ! And no I think it is 1 oz per zip from what I have seen I think now thanks guys :) hope I do get 6 zips gaha

Zip means oz. Usually the short 28gm U.S. street ounce. As opposed to the Troy Ounce..i believe that's 32grams. Hope this helps.

If my math is correct it should actually be about 17.6 oz dry. You generally lose about 75% of the weight in drying. Not that a 17.6 oz plant isn't incredibly impressive, it is.

I've heard ounces called onions in a few different places I've lived.

I've always heard a lid referred to as a '4 finger bag' meaning 4 fingers in height.

dunno on that. bought my first lid in 1967.........lol
