Margahooja, what do you think about the shape of the first true leaves. It seems like the tips didn't fully develop? Do you think the Potters Gold soil you are using might be a little hot, a little to much fertilizer for seedlings?

The leaves look very dark green now, but I can't tell if that is from high nitrogen or just the lighting.

Margahooja, thinking about your soil made me curious about my soil.
I start with a base of Klasmann-Deilmann Potgrond H70. It is peat moss with premixed fertilizer of 1.5 grams per liter.
Klasmann-Deilmann is a decent German company but they don't list any more details about the added fertilizer, so I don't know exactly what my plants are eating.

Just for a laff....I filled a 15 Liter pot with the soil and drenched it with spring water raised to 500 PPM (Parts Per Million) with Texas Tomato Food, my favorite liquid fertilizer, good stuff.

I slowly let 6 liters drip though the soil, the collected water was 2200 PPM!!!!!!! That seems pretty hot for seedlings.

Another 6 liters got it down to 1000 PPM

550 PPM seems reasonable for seedlings. Now I have soil ready for my next grow and I know what is in it, plus the bat guano, sea kelp, mycorrhizae, earthworm Castings, humic Acid, vitazyme, and Amino Acids from the Texas Tomato Food can have time to settle in and prep the soil for my next Mephisto seed. I wonder if it will make a difference, maybe I am just wasting water.

I've used this soil for about a year and a half except the last 6 months and am now back to using it again. I've never had any issues with it and like it a lot. That may have been the case or it's something with the strain. Rhyce mentioned it being something he's identified with the strain. The soil is supposed to be gentle enough for young plants and I've probably grown 20 plants in it with no burn issues. I just had a Hubbabubbasmelloscope sprout a couple days ago and looks perfect. I've used this soil for about a year and a half except the last 6 months and am now back to using it again. I've never had any issues with it and like it a lot.

Thanks for the link. Potter's Gold is the best I have ever seen: "Composted northern red pine bark" wow!
My soil is shredded newspaper by comparison. I have looked at many many packages of potting soil and given up on finding anything close to what you have.

I wish Potter's Gold was available here.
