New Grower WoS: Afkan Kush Ryder auto fem

This is my second grow of AKR, 1 plant 15in 35gr last fall. This grow has several differences from the last one. Lights were 135w UFO led and 4 4ft t5's 10000k 24/0, this time bs240uv and 135w UFO with 4 4ft t5's (10000k first half of veg, 6500k second half veg, 3000k bloom) on 20/4 schedule. First grow was in 3gal bags this grow 5gal bags. Soil is the same, pro-mix ultimate (1cu ft per bag). Nutes were ff grow big, tiger bloom and humbolt snow storm. This grow ff trio and advanced sensi cal/mag grow and bloom and super thrive. Same tent (1.7'X3'X5') same bottled (areated) water. As usual one seed looks like it will be at least a day behind the others. I think because I don't let the seed pop a root before planted I don't get all up at the same time. My hands are unsteady and I don't want to brake the young tap root. Anyway I hope to get over 50gr per plant, these girls get bushey and stay short but they are one big bud.

Good luck on your grow. I enjoy the AKR smoke. I am harvesting my AKR in 15 days. She will be 96 days old at the time of chop. She had her last feeding yesterday. She is the 5th AKR I have grown in 3 grows also she is my first. I will be watching this.

I forgot one other thing different this time, instead of adding a commercial root stimulant to the soil I sprayed each 2in layer with water and super thrive (3ml/gal). I have both leds (bs240uv & ufo135w) at 18in above plants, I think this may be too close(day 3 1in tall). I just gave the first real watering, 500ml each 6.5ph areated plain bottled water. I checked growdadys' grow and I think we are talking two different plants with the same name, and boy do I hope I am wrong. Those are some awesome girls, great job growdady. World of seeds claims this plant will stay short and yeild 200gr/m2, and this is what happened with the last seed from this bag (freebi from OSSC spring '12). One of the three seeds planted is a no show and I have moved the bag out of the tent. Last grow this happened only to have the seed pop two weeks later, maybe it's karma. My gamble that I could grow less plants in larger containers and get the same yeild as when I plant five beans is not starting out well. I was hoping for 50g each now I need more like 70g each. I have ordered a new tent (lighthouse 2X4X7) and a 4 bag bubble hash kit. I will take my old agromax and add a 4in fan/filter combo and make it a drying chamber, the old 6in fan/filter combo can go with the new tent as a back-up filter system. I will also need to get another bs240uv and new fan/filter set up, but air pots come next (5 3gal, 3 5gal). I love this hobby but I am going broke, ha ha, Christmas is coming and I need to start begging early, lol.

Actually yes the plant from my first grow, the 3 from my last grow, and the one from my current grow:. They are from WOS afghan kush ryder. I am sure this strain has more than 1 pheno, I have just never come across one. I Hope they turn into real monsters for you.:karma Cloud:

Did you notice if the AKR seeds were smaller than normal? I've seeds of seen several strains but when I received some AKR a few days ago they looked really smaller than other seeds, like half or even 1/3 in volume.

I love the AKR's!!! They make some awesome smoke, and they practically grow themselves!! But man o man in flower do they reak!!! I run carbon filter and the wife's scentsy's and it still wont do it. Gonna run both with oana and see if that helps. My avatar is AKR ran under a sunleaves 250w light. Best grow karma your way!!

I think that the stress of me taking it from a good environment to a poor one may have given me the hermi problem last grow. This one looks rough but what the hell last time I got my best yeilding plant. The last time the seed was two weeks late with one full week outside the tent, if she can make it I don't think too much will go wrong. Well at least I have three plants to work with.
