Day 2
Temp 82 RH 83
Hey!
Well time to get back on the horse and get growing again. My last grow was a complete disaster!! I am gathering up my notes and will post a thread de-constructing it to see what we can learn from it. But for now it's garden time!! I put 8 beans in, 4 photo period and 4 autoflowering. For the photos I have 2 Barney's Farm Acapulco Gold, 1 Barney's Farm LSD, and 1 Sensi Seeds Northern Lights #5 Haze. Hope to learn cloning and topping, LST, and other techniques with these. For the autos I have 2 Moonstone and 2 Sweet TrainWreck. All of them are feminized. I will journal the autos here and the photos in the photo section in my perpetual photo thread.
Into the water for 24 hrs, they all cracked, a good sign. Then into rapid rooters. They stayed in the rooters for almost two days. They all popped up nicely and look great. Last night they went into red cups. I know that autos do best being planet in the soil they are going to stay in... But I am working on a consistent methodology for starting plants and this is my choice. The red cups will be added to an airpot using the tiered method. Hope it all works out! We'll see.
In the red cups was
HF, Pro-Mix Ultra and perlite 1:1:1 poured water through it and pH'd until run off read 6.1-6.3. I am using 10 23 watt 5 k CFL, the water going in is around pH of 7 to get the 6.2 I want. Everything is sitting on a heat mat and in a tray with .25 in. of water. Will drain the water shortly. Wanted to insure even moisture through out the cup, you know me and my water phobia!!
So that's the start of it. Let's see what we can do here!! WooHoo!!
