Russian Dragon Photo Pheno Update: seed put in soil on 4/5/13. She's been under 12/12 now for about 5 weeks or so, still got a while to go! Getting 3/4 strength AN grand master line up. Loosely following the feeding schedule as I sometimes forgot what week to feed her... Sleepy time is coming for me! :nightdrag:

Blood,Dragon update.. Not much going on here, handling the flowering nutes good... Seems like there been no further stretching... Though its only week 1 of flower..Does she stretch?

Here is a Durrty x Durrty that was crossed to a Russian Dragon. The Russian Dragon photo trait runs strong it seems, I have a feeling I'm am so close to getting it 100% auto (well I'm just speaking from my stock)
The Durrty Russian was planted on the same day as the Russian Dragon...... Pure sensimila is waiting for me! Got clone of each specimen. :thumb:

I have had nothing but positive reviews as far as the pain relief qualities of my Super Skunk x Russian Dragon cross.... I brought the cross to f2 fems, I have grow about four of the f2's myself and can say that they amber up nice, and have the potential to be knock you on your ass bud. After a month cure it almost has a hash taste to it... (Poor at tastes etc as my sense of smell is not keen by any means).
I am going to run four more outdoors to see how they fair, these four will be numbered 1-4 and will each have a branch or two pollenated... I want to be able to smoke the four ladies and see what one is the best of the four and than use those seeds for the f3's, does this sound about the right way to go about things? In total I will have grown over 10 of these ladies out... The last four outside will be used to narrow things down.

I just soaked some beans in water and put them in some root riot cubes... I've never had any luck with them as they always dry out on me so I came up with an idea of putting some perlite in a bottom of a bowl, than putting cubes into the the perlite to hold them in place and to help keep them moist... Will see how they germ method works... And for HaHa's I'm going to see if I can grow one from start to finish in the 5" diameter self watering pot...



Lol scratch above... Doh! I need pollen first to be able to do anything... So I guess I will modify plans here and see from the four that are growing when they start to preflower I will pick the strongest best looking of the bunch and than use that as a reversal... Than once reversal begins I than will plant more and than do above said plan. Whoa! This is going to take some time.... I can see why any "hobby" breeder really should just concentrate on one strain... As it seems its the only possible way... I guess as the sayings going, "Rome wasn't built in a day" and "good things come from hard work" most certainly apply here

Yeeeaaa Yoda, that durty durty Russian dragon looks beautiful & the super skunk Russian dragon cross sounds like u got a lil heavy hitter there. Glad to hear bout the cubes & what one strain would you like to focus on?

Since really the durrty is all dragon genetics I'm just keeping that for myself . and don't think ill work at it (well actually haven't smoked any so I shouldn't say I won't) the other crosses I had were the Think Different x Russian dragon. (Good yielder super frosty dank bud) but did not have that "amber" effect I'm looking for... I like the bud that can put my head at ease... No paranoia or anxiety with the tD cross but to heady from what I'm looking for... The easy Ryder cross was good but was small yielder, and it doesn't haven't a proper cure to judge it merits:
The skunk cross I've immediately fell in love with her size and structure..,,pretty quick finisher ( should be pretty ambered up at 85 days) and its a great tasting smoke, good body/head high (more body than mind, but more mind than the Russian dragon alone is...a bowl of her I can't function, a bowl of this I want to go to bed but still can get things done... Good smoke for a movie on the couch.... ) so my only focus will be the skunk cross. I have other "accidents" but to me they are not accidents at all, as they are intended for my own med cabinet and its fun to have no idea what it is I'm smoking, and gives me a good variety....
So I'm going to try and work on this, mind you truly on the side as I'm having GREAT success with cloning the photos and am going down that route more now... Growing out a plant, getting a clone, throwing original plant into flower, and haven't gotten there yet but than smoke said original plant and if its just ok than ill throw remaining clones into flower, if its GREAT than I will keep the clone as a keeper. well, those are the plans though I do have a foundness for the autos, cause truth be told these photos are taking a long time and alot of work... (Especially the sexing)...I've been nervous to put a plant into flower to see what it is and if its a female to put it back into veg, won't that stress the plant?

Nice, I really enjoyed that game just completed the 1999 mode with no upgrades achievement... I usually take a clone of each plant, label them and throw them into flower immediately with my plants to sex them. Some strains in my experience will show sex shortly after they're mature, I just got hit with a bit of bad luck 4 Durrty Dragons. just one female... But the female smells killer already so it's not so bad. Nice grow by the way
