You cant put seedlings in ______ soil because it runs to hot?

I have looked through the forums and have not found this topic but I could be missing it.
I hear many people claiming that FFOF ect cant be used to germinate or grow seedlings because "it runs hot" (I have zero issues growing any any pre made medium)
My understanding is one time a FF product was shipped out while it was still composting which created heat and killed plants. I find this to be very believable.
However people are claiming the to hot part is an over abundance of nutes in the manufactures soil from day 1 (find it hard to believe).

So Myth Busters- Can soil be "to hot" to germinate/seedling or is it a bunch of BS?

Sometimes it can
Sometimes it dosent
Ive had signs of hot soil using Bio-bizz Light mix,
But most of the time I've used it with no problems,
Some soils just have the wrong stuff in it and not every bags the same as its organic matter that's been decomposted differently in the earth depending on the location,

The amount of branches and lumps of wood I picked out of the bag I was using tonight was unreal, I'd say if went through the bag and took out all the wood and stuff it would equate to about 5L worth. Outa a 50L bag.

Times ive found bits of plastic and even a shell lol

I bought a bag of ffof once. Was to hot for seedlings and full of gnats. Didn’t kill them but they didn’t like it
