I would anyways recommend if you post Grows ect. use Tor. Crypted browsing keeps the po po away ;)

Yeah, I've been a Windows 7 fan since the RC :)

A lot of peeps on here are still using XP so TOR may be the only compatible browser soon!

I've never seen that message anywhere but this site. It's an AFN generated message?

It's on a few sites bro, it's hard to pin down a specific reason for it happening on AFN since it depends on so may different variables.
There's an almost unlimited combination of different scripts, coding, placeholders, database compilers, etc. etc. that can be used to build a website, even the "elegance" of the programmer can count. Add to that the different browsers, operating systems, antiviruses etc. that the site members use and you can see how difficult it is to pin down a specific cause of odd anomalies on websites!

when i updated to 8.1 windows i have had no troubles. But i experienced quite a few problems prior to that but now it is working almost flawlesly.

As a long time computer profeesional, I have to say, all this FUD ab out WinXP is way overblown. As an experiment, I have a WinXP machine that hasn't had an update since 2007. Never a virus, never a problem. Keep the version of Firefox that works and leave it alone. Run current AV/anti-malware and you'll be fine. XP has a couple more years of useful life.

And Windows 8 is worse than Millennium Edition was! What a piece of crap! But we've been lulled into thinking Windows or OSX are the only games in town.
Personally,I have only one Win & machine left, all the others now run Linux Mint. Definitely more intuitive than Win 8!

Totally agree pop, just the vast majority of people who use modern tech expect it to all be automatic so don't know to stop browsers updating themselves and keep the last stable build for their OS.
I've been screwing about on an old laptop with windows 95, great fun but not something I'd use again for anything at all!

Unfortunately for OS variety I love gaming online (World of Tanks anyone?) so since I hate apple I'm stuck with windows 7, which I've got to admit I love anyway :)
