Hi All!
I'm new to this, other than an attempt I made over 40 years ago! I'm now 72 and decided to do it again! Last time my plants grew to over 7 feet tall, with not one flower! I grew them in my backyard veg garden.
So, I wish I had without keeping any records of my progress, I wish I had. I now have blooms on all except the short wide plant. On that plant, I tried low-stress training. It's clearly behind the others, but it's early in the season.
My plants are outside. When I expect rain I move them to under the overhang of my house so I can control the water intake.
I'm making some assumptions: My plants are now 19, 20, and 18 inches tall. The 19-inch plant (AK47) looks like it has stopped getting taller, it has been the same height for 3 days after growing 1-2 inches every 24 hours, so I assume it's about 4 weeks into bloom. The others are all Revolver, I'd guess from what I've seen in the blooms, about 2 weeks behind. So assuming the AK is in its 4th week of bloom, it has another 4 weeks or so to go. Should I flush with water in about 2 weeks? Later for the others?
I have changed to bloom nutrients, Fox Farm.
I planted the first seedlings in those recommended little cubes, transplanted them into 6-inch pots, then 5-gallon pots they are now in.
Drilled holes in the plastic pots for air.
I'm very happy with how this grow is going, I continue to read up on methods to learn but find some conflicting information.
Next time I plan to use the fabric pots, still 5-gallon size. I'll plant the seedlings directly in these pots.
I'd appreciate any comments and advice!

Welcome back to growing, LOL, I too am a late returning grower, had to wait for retirement.

Nice looking plants!

:welcome: to AFN! You have definitely came to the right place if you're searching for useful info about cultivating. Feel free to ask questions, as I am sure there will be plenty of help following along at the ready!

You are in the same boat I was in a year ago and I’m now on my 3rd grow. It definitely is a growing experience (pun intended). My only advice from your post is don’t put an expected date for chop at this point. Experience for us newbies is that I have yet to see my chop date equate to what the seed description says. Bottom line is they will be ready when they are. So much goes into how long these girls actually take. I grew 4 plants my first grow and I actually wound up tossing most of it away. One was a runt that I just didn’t want to bother with, another I chopped too soon, the third was one I grew on my deck and wound up turning hermit, so I tossed it and the last was the one I hoped was the star, but either I didn’t cure it right or something, but it was really harsh. Once I got my 2nd grow harvested I realized how bad my first grow was. I was much better the second time and the 2 I grew that time are and were outstanding. I expect even better with my 3rd grow as they are now about one week into flower. Welcome!

You will do great. AFN is a treasure trove for growing Autoflower plants as well as photoperiod strains too. I like to help when ever I can in those 40 years I got to the point where iam a decent consistent grower at 60 years old. ☮️
