Hey AFN,

New grower here and I started out with an Aerogarden Ultra, I bought it because I wanted an all inclusive setup for my small closet space. I am on day 42 of my grow and loving it. I have learned that the ag is not the best grow medium but it has taught me a lot. I started a grow journal on another site but I think AFN is definitely the place for me since I will only be growing autos.

So with that I want to start my journal here so that I can learn from the autoflower community.

I'm using the aerogarden ultra with air pump and two air stones. I also have 2 x 42w, 4x18w cfls 2700k for supplemental lighting.
The seed I popped is an auto berry ryder, I also germ'd a auto mass diesel but it ended up being a male :jaw: with that said here we go.

Edit: I forgot to add I'm using GH FloraSeries with FloraBlend and koolbloom. I also had a problem with magnesium deficiency early on as can be seen in my early pictures I started using calimagic which cleared the problem up nicely. My rez temps are kind of high which led to some algae that I fixed with 3% food grade H2O2(10ml/gal at rez change and 2ml daily). I also cool the rez with frozen ph'd water when the rez temps go above 75f.

I'm also using 20/4 light schedule, 4 inch carbon filter/fan setup to scrub the room I may have to get a better phresh filter if she starts to smell too good during flowering lol.

Thanks, I'm waiting on my led ufo to arrive because my girl has practically taken over the ag, I can't raise the hood anymore so I'm hoping the led will give me a boost in bud.

Hey man, looks better than some of my plants. Damn good job for just diving right in. Look forward to having you here on the site. What're your plans for the next grow? Going to expand and include more AGs?

Thanks for the kind words this is a great community!! Wg I think next I'm going to try and grow two lst'd Lowryder #2(I read on the site everyone should at least grow one at some point in time). I then want to get me a 3-5 gallon DWC setup so I can stagger growth and always have a personal stash. I've seen the led grows on this site and am hooked seemorebuds is the truth. I have my first led ufo on the way and will be saving up for a larger panel in the future.

I finally received my led ufo, I can tell a big difference in less than 24 hrs, pistal production has been crazy. I had a little bout with nute burn so I had to dial them back down to a little under half strength.

I have a question for some of the veteran led growers, I have a 90w(85w draw) led ufo what is a good distance from the top of my plant to keep it? I haven't seen any bleaching as of yet but it seems like some of my leaves are twisting on the ends. The ufo is currently about 6 inches from the tallest leaves.

I also wonder if I'm thinking too hard while baked but I noticed when I turned my 2700k cfl side lights on that a green hue of light was present, you know yellow and blue makes green lol, does this apply to what the plants see? I know they don't see the green spectrum so if I'm mixing the yellow soft light with the blue leds from the ufo would they cancel each other out, just wondering? Don't want to be loosing any light or wasting electricity if they don't work together.
