Indoor Air pots - worth it? And what size for a small grow?

Nearly time to get my second grow started, and I'm considering air pots rather than the square 11 ltr pots I used on the last one - I think 11 litre was maybe a little too big for my very small tent (60x60x140cm) as the diesel automatic was getting dangerously close to my lighting by the end. So, would getting some 6 litre air pots be sufficient for growing 2 autos in a small tent? Or should I go for the 10 litre version? And more importantly - are they worth the cash, is there really much benefit to using them? Anyone with experience using them, advice would be much appreciated :)

Air pots is really real great.

What kinda light do you got in there. Are you growing in soil or coco?

I would go with either one 10L pot or two 6L

Air pots and coco is one wicked good combo

So much so, that I went for 15 and 20L pots !! :Aloha:

I'm just under one 300w Dual Spectrum CFL, growing in Plant Magic soil. Was thinking about coco but I already have all the soil and nutes (PM old timer) from the last grow and don't really wanna spend a lot more cash getting this next one started. Do you reckon I would get higher yield growing just one plant in a larger pot in this space? Or go for the two in smaller pots?

Its all depending on your skills as a grower and nothing else my friend.
But if you with two pots you get two plants = two different kind of smokes, and that is always nice.

Then I think it can be harder to grow in a big container with soil but thats just me and I made the switch to coco and got much better result.
Soil was just to difficult for me to master.

I use the fabric root pruning pots m8 and have done 2 side by sides with plastic pots.. root pruning/air pots give much better yield.. my 2 grows r on here I'm sure u can link thru clicking on my name and see the side by side for yourself ;-) as for 2 plans or 1 again from personal small tent experience I'd say youl get about the same from both ;-) so personally if I were u id do 1 in a 15l airpot in that tent.. itl b a monster compared to any plastic pot plant youv grown and youl never use an 'ordinary' pot again is my guess.. good luck with the grow fella ;-)

Yeah, I had a lot of issues with my last grow, ph issues/lockout started a few weeks into flower, eventually figured out the problem and pretty much sorted it, but not after a fair bit of damage was done. Still got a fairly decent yield from the diesel, the other plant, a La Bella Afrodita, didn't fair so well, she's still in the tent, gonna leave her for a another week or two to see if the buds swell any more, but she got kinda dwarfed by the diesel and don't think she got enough light for a while, plus combined with nute issues she's not looking too great, pretty small buds for the most part, except for at the very top of the plant.

Think I will give the soil another go this time around seeing as I have all the stuff, got some lime to mix with the soil this time to hopefully address my ph issues, plus getting some perlite as my drainage seemed slow as well, which may have contributed to the issues I had. I reckon I'll give two 6ltr air pots a go, thanks for the info! Much appreciated :)

No way, sorry only just saw this after my last post, think I will consider one 15l instead then, thanks for the info man!

Just remember that bigger pots do NOT = bigger yields. And for a newbie I think its easier to fuck things up in a big container. Much much easier to over/under water the plants, especially in the first couple of weeks.

Then when you got your growing skills in place then bigger pots=bigger yields, yes.

Now you have to think about this and I really hope your grow will be amazing either way you go.

Take care friend

J

edit: And the air pots is no kinda a magic pot that will guarantee you a big healthy plant with killer yields, once again its all down to you and your skill as a grower. The air pot will not make the work for you.
But its one hell of a great pot never the less.

15L Airpots are the best size for getting the full potential from autos using smaller pots WILL affect yield as there isn't as much space for the roots.....more roots= more plant.
