The plants are going through some sort of deficiency. The 1st set of leaves have yellowed and fallen off along with the 2nd and 3rd set. The forming buds look great and the upper leaves are nice and green. The gimp is not as far along but it going through the same thing. I was thinking it's a nitrogen deficiency since I'm not using fertilizer. I gave them their 1st flowering tea 4 days ago and it looks like the yellowing may have slowed down.

Bump. Does this sound like a Nitrogen problem? If so what can I do in a TLO grow to fix this?

Rev swears by using "spikes" in his grow pots, and you have some high N amendments form your list of materials. Perhaps filling 2 or 3 spike holes with the high N components would be a solution. I have used the spike technique on one plant- it needed serious cal/mag help, so I mixed some prilled dolomite (crushed) with Aurora Roots Elemental (powdered cal/mag) and made two spike holes- gently, and using my soil pH meter- about 1.25 inches around and 6-7 inches deep, toward the outside of the soil surface. Mixed the additions with a bit of FFOF soil and filled the spike holes. It took a couple days to see the results, but the newer leaves never developed the cal/mag measles! I hope another member can chime in on spiking a TLO, as I've only done it once, but I did it according to Rev's book instructions. For your use, you might also want to spike for a bit of cal/mag as well as high N. Best of luck to you, Sir Albert!

That's a good idea. The TLO kit that I bought came with a couple of different spikes.

Edit: I have the following spikes at my disposal

TLO Pure Power Spike NPK 9.8-0.6-0.6

TLO Flower Power Spike NPK 6.5-5.25-0.75

TLO All Purpose Veg Spike NPK 8.6-3.5-0.5

TLO All Purpose Flower Spike NPK 5.85-4.57-2

Ok so I put one tablespoon of Flower Power spike on top of the soil and watered. Will this be effective? The gimp is really starting to look shitty.

Where (what company?) did you get them from? They sound an awful lot like Living Organics Spikes?Any current Pics? And they are effective if used within the soil mix (blended mix(s)) that needs a boost,or that has mostly depleting the soil food resources.

had to share this pic with ya man.I was on Google+ the other day poking around n thought this was hilarious man!!

I got a TLO starter kit from tlosoils.com

they have permission to use the Rev's formulas and naming but he doesn't actually work for the company.

when I first started posting here I was told not to use the spikes with auto lowers. I didn't have any problems with N last time so I'm thinking this batch of soil might be a bit weak.

Well going by the three pics prior Id say your lacking in three areas personally. But thats why I wnated current pics under flash AND natural light if ya can.?But going by those alone I would say dont use a full strength spike.I would pick your lowest one(all purpose flower I believe and make a HALF strength spike or wet slurry mix with it and apply as instructed ,and rinse into the soil.now with Autos Strain and soil specific ,since Im truly clueless as to what your using.but you could run into some over feeding.flashfeed style which is ok,to a point really.but I'd hit your soil personally with a 1/4 strength spike dry at the furthest edge of your pot and wet it in.do NOT rinse it through. OR even easier .boost your soil with a tea concentrate for what you want put into your soil to push it further along.and even more fun is use an eighth or less of the spikes strength by volume AND hit with a mellow tea basic cal mag style.I bet youd be fine.hell ive done that and would do it again and will this winter just a little different trying to push it.but check those out n see which ones fit you the best. hope that helps man.

yeah the rev n me er gonna have a talk if I ever cross paths with him..LOL! some pals out west that I know work with his old partner that does greenman organics.check THEM out too.very nice
