Lighting Auto's and UVB supplementation

morning all
I know the solarflares com with UVB tubes added.
but aside from that,what are the befits and recommendations regarding auto's and UVb

I have 2 X1.2m uvb 5.0 tubes I can use(once I manage to fit 1.2m tubes in a 1m cab)
what schedule should I run assuming the cab is on 20/4 and will it be worth it to run for only a week or two before harvest?

First off, from what I gathered, it seems that the use of UVB light for flowering will degrade THC levels to CBD and CBN should be careful with your flowering phase times..
Should be introducing UVB light at about 3-5% of total light output in week 2 of flowering and shutting it off 1 week before flush..
Used ReptiGlo 10.0 UVB lights for flowering.
However I can not stress this enough you need to use these lights from germination all the way through the grow full time, or suppliment your flowering schedule with only 15-20 minutes a day in flowering only. I added mine to my flowering box almost 2 weeks into flowering and my plants almost fried to death, so I now have one in my veg box seedlings sprouted fine and are doing well. This is my experience with ReptiGlo 10.0... It took me a couple of days and placing one plant back into veg to figure it was sun burn. So be careful with UVB
Also, the little 26 watt will keep spidermites/mold away within 30 inches or so.


Remember, UV light causes stress to the plant, so put the fluorescents on timers and only have them on for part of the light cycle. Having them on for fifteen minutes of every hour should do the trick. The only downside of this whole process is that yields go down slightly. The plant has to reroute resources and undergoes some physical damage from the UV. As long as you don't overdo the UV the increase in quality is well worth the decrease in yield.
Safety Note: Never go into your room during UV exposure times, unless you manually turn the lights off! Overexposure to ultra-violet radiation can cause skin cancer in humans.

wear sunglasses since adding my LED panel anyhow,but will beware of the Uv.
I have the repti-glo uvb 5.0's are lower intensity than the 10.0's afaik.
the box recommends effective range to be 30cm,would you agree.
Was planning 15 minutes every hour to be honest,however,2 weeks from harvest I doubt it will be worthwhile building an entire addition to my cab for 1 weeks uvb.
will certainly incorporate uv in veg in the next round.

I have a 80cm*200cm tent with 250w dual spectrum HP's. Was thinking off adding a 23w exo Terra 10 cfl. Any ideas? Got 3 plants already in the tent at dif stages (about 4 weeks apart)
